Default Would You Do This Deal?

Contemplating:

2LZ Stage 1 Z06 (MSRP $87k) for my 1965 small block convertible (driver quality) and '08 Z06 (4,500 mile garage queen)....

2 for 1 deal.

Hard to part with either, or both, but....

UPDATE: Skip to Post #103 to see how my saga played out

Interesting...I'd trade if I'd tired of the C2 open air driving experience, wanted the latest and greatest (also thinking less difference between C6 and C7), and wanted less maintenance and more storage space. Certainly more convenient means for starting FRESH with the BEST.
Measure your "HAPPY" meter and decide which scenario will bring you the most pleasure - the reason for this great American sports car!

Depends what market value is for your 1965. if i were to trade one, it would be the Z06. They should give your a great trade in price with it having such low miles. Your 1965 can appreciate while the Z06 will lose value.

No, the '65 is no longer depreciating but actually appreciating. The C7 will only depreciate and the C6 is already down......if I was making the deal it would be the C6 and cash for the C7......or sell the C2 outright......you will be ahead......but remember that God isn't making anymore C2's.....and he is making a bunch of C7's.....

I don't think I could do that trade. I'd probably keep the '65 and trade the C6 for the new Z.

I ditched my 06 Z06 twin turbo for a C7 Z but kept my old 94. The 94 isn't even close to your 65. Move the 08 finance the rest.

If the C2 is in good condition, keep it & maintain it. It cannot be easily replaced; both the C6 and C7 can be...

Agreed!

Keep your current set up, or trade your Z and finance the rest as some have mentioned previously.

Or, just find a friend who will let you drive their '15

Your 08 Z is probably worth $33g wholesale. Would you take the balance for your 65? I really miss my 09 Z.. My 15 Z is a great car, but so was the 09 Z..I drive my cars 5300m on the new car.

I agree on KEEPING the 65 but ditch the 06...those 65's are beautiful and like was posted they don't make them anymore....BUT the bottom line do what you feel best.
