You're gonna need a wrench to get them off because the loop detaches from the shaft, so if they're in there tight the loop will just come off first and then just use the wrench to take the shaft off ... it's easy because the metal has flat edges at the end for the wrench to grab. The D ring or Loop, should be tightend after you install so as to be level with car, after that it can be removed with out a wrench if you tighten the D ring jamb nut.

Very happy with these.
Thanks for the post!! A 8 inch crescent wench should fit even with the D ring on. You also do not need to thread all the way in, because if the D ring is left in the down position it will never thread in or out while driving. Took this pic today at Bob Stall Chevy

We only made 34 sets of the SS premium ran out of stock, also found that the chrome molly we can turn down a bit more being 30% stonger. We now have the chrome molly in stock that replaces the SS shafts, they are $20 less in cost. $169.99 for a set.

We have a few in stock now. $49 with aluminum shaft, so no need to take tow hook apart.

Looking good! Can you just twist on the plate to remove from the base? In other words, is dis assembly required to remove?

Bump for my question. I am hoping for a mount that just twists off for easy removal.

NO, the plate will not twist off easy. The shaft has a lock pin to keep tight and the cap bolt has a lock washer. I drive with mine all the time and no movement. If someone wants your plate they have to remove the plate to remove the holder. The plate comes off then you remove holder.

YES, you do have to remove license plate to remove holder, its at a angle, you have no choice.

Do you still offer these at this price? If so, how do I order them?

Thank you

We now have tow hooks for the 2016 also, We checked and the grill is the same. One car had the receiver farther in as we can see so far. We are checking now for fit.

We checked and the grills are the same for 14 to 16 ZO6 We now think one frame on a car had the receiver welded in too far and that may be what we thought was a change. Anyone out there with our tow hooks with the black front shaft have a issue with it screwing to far in on a 2016? Let me know 858 527 8727 John www.zl1addons.com
