The Corvette Z06 is Still a Bargain of a Beast

I'd love to see the engineers who worked on the new Corvette Z06 pack a suitcase. I bet you they can fit a month's worth of clothes and toiletries into an overnight bag. They managed to cram killer looks and insane amounts of power into the high-performance machine without weighing customers down with a (relatively) heavy sticker price.

Yes, the touch screen is a little slow. But still light years from the C6.

Jeff Glucker from hooneverse does a great podcast every week. In fact this week celebrates 100 episodes. I enjoy many of his you tube videos.

Jeff's a cool car enthusiast.

Thanks for posting this up on the forum. The c7 z06 is awesome.

Regarding the slow touch screen, memory and processors are so cheap I don't understand why GM didn't opt for more to make it nice and responsive.

Default RE: The Corvette Z06 is Still a Bargain of a Beast

First of all, I have to agree that the C7 Z06 is truly a bargain supercar, worth all the cash (relative to its nearest competitors). I love my Z06, but I must say that all the gadgetry that comes with it is a bit of a turn-off. I hadn't had a new car since 2007, so the 3LZ package that came with my Z06 is overwhelming. I still don't know how to use half of that stuff.

I would much rather have a very basic Z06 without all the crap. GM should offer a Z06 with minimal standard gear (PS, PB, PW?, maybe A/C), and let us add other options if we want or need them. The 1LZ package has more goodies than I really want. That base Z06 would likely be a bit lighter too.

I loved my good ol' C2 coupe with no PS and no PB. It had a radio, but you couldn't hear it very well over the solid lifters and sidepipes. But I still LOVE my new Z06. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...es/patriot.gif
