It looks pretty much like a regular C7 Z to me. What am I missing?

The colors are nice but if they're going to do a C7.R edition they should've gave it more enhanced track capabilities. When I read this I was thinking this would be something similar to what SRT did with the Viper, the ACR-X..

Should have stripped some pieces to reduce weight... then it'll deserve the .R nomenclature.

I like it specially the Jake decal and the yellow detail around the wheel. But why would they take the pic with the guy in the car????

Trying to pass off 'stickers = faster' mentality again?

Any mechanical improvements?

A wasted opportunity to do something great. At least they should have made carbon fiber wheels like Ford did.

Default Come on now!?

It has that fiber center section weight reduction!

It doesn't run on E85 like the C7R (yet?)!

Maybe there are some underlying performance features yet to evolve based on what is going on, or not, at The Ring! (Is GM limiting racing cars like those other guys? Don't want to be carrying too many warranties on such cars! We shall see!)

I'm surprised they didn't include a matching set of luggage.

Pretty weak. I would still pay $10K more for a Z that weighed 500# less, and they could keep the stuff they took off to boot. Something I did see in the link to the 2016 Z06 product information - the following headline. What "word" is missing?

"2016 CORVETTE Z06 IS THE MOST CAPABLE CORVETTE EVER"
