Well he has said some pretty nice things in past about some American cars but of course he leans more to the European stuff being European.
Also the z06 is much more than an track car . As a street car it ticks off most all the right boxes to be a supercar. 650 hp and 650 tq . Great braking power. High g capability . Great looks depending on your personal tastes. And a fantastic price compared to most of the European competition.
Compared to cars that cost 2, 3 even way way more is not really fair comparisons. And think the Corvette can be a very capable track car depending on what type of racing a person wants to do and really how many are buying the z06 to track anyway?
As a streetcar its simply awesome. Sounds like it rides nice ,and has great handling and braking and power and if you leave the nanny systems on sure most guys on the street won't have that much problems with keeping the car shiny side up unless they get really stupid.
Now on the track it becomes a matter of getting used to the car and finding the right combos of nanny settings to be able to drive it well.
And that likely takes fair bit of seat time with the car.
Anyway Jeremy is cool guy, hilarious and witty but can be bit stuck up as well when it comes to vehicles made on this side of the pond. But still sad to see him not on Top Gear anymore. He pretty much makes the show.

Front Page Coverage
certainly not the best review, but front page worthy just the same...

LOL that review. hahahah.
I know he liked the ZR1 when he reviewed it, he even wanted people to get it over the r8 v10 when it came out. I have to kinda agree on some of his points tho. I will never understand, how in 2015, you don't offer a proper DCT. I mean a golf has that stuff now, yes a golf.
Can't really comment on the handling as he always says that cars try to kill him then the stig would post a record lap times, so there is that.
I kinda agree with his diss to GM, they kinda shot themselves in the foot with their big mouths selling this car. Not the cars fault, but i guess it affects the brand.
All in all a very honest (from his perspective) review, wish there was a video to go with it

I'm always slightly baffled that people actually take Clarkson somewhat seriously and actually care what he has to say about certain cars. He's an entertainer. It's fine if you don't know anything about cars, but if you're a "car guy" you know he's full of it. I'd much rather hear what Chris Harris, the guys at EVO Magazine, Randy Robst, and Steve Sutcliffe from Autocar have to say.

So someone disagrees and he's full of it? Glad to know we live in a world where diversity is accepted
"If he doesn't agree with my tastes he's a loon" is a great commie attitude. You all should move to North Korea

This is nothing to do with diversity or North Korea. Relax.

J is a cool old man, but sometimes he acts like a real idiot. I'm not crazy about the z06, but the real reason why Jeremy does not like it is that it's made in the USA. So **** Jeremy...

He's full of it because he's extremely biased and reviews cars to make the reviews themselves entertaining which is completely different than reviewing cars and judging them on real performance characteristics and capabilities by guys who know what they're talking about. I myself don't find Top Gear or most of his reviews entertaining.

I haven't seen one review that was slightly negative that wasn't completely trashed by the majority on the forum.

I'm thinking deep down inside he just cant get over the Spats.

He didn't particularly like the ZR1's handling on second review in the UK. If I remember correctly, he likened driving it to trying to win the Grand National on a lion.
