GT-R's are not fast from a roll. Typical 60-130 times are in the mid-9's for a DBA car. IMO roll races don't mean much, but even assuming dead even starts the Z06 will win.

the dig race was odd.. the first race it killed the GTR.. wonder if it was heat soaked. The gTR don't really get heat soaked.

A8 do 0-60 in 3.0 and GTR 2.9ish. surprised it took him that hard off the line.

The A8 Z06 is FAST!!!

Did take it a while to come around the GTR from a dig, definitely a speed I would not do on the street.

The A8 definitely can't do 3.0 everytime. The GTR with AWD will be way more consistent.

This confirms what any real car guy knows: Stock GT-Rs rule from zero mph until at or before the 1/4 mile. Roll runs it will not dominate. <------

I raced 2 GTR's at the track, they both had exhaust and bolt on's. I pulled them pretty hard each time. We did 3 races with each.

Nicely done Mr. A8. A dig run with the vette on DRs would certainly make a world of difference. I think

IMO the roll race is the better race the second race the dig showed the GTR has quicker 60ft. But it was ran down. The roll race showed the Z06 is the faster car. Not the dig! Those races are decided in the first 60ft. The GTR is really not fast but has the quick 60ft
and might win a 1/4 mile.

The Dig 0r 1/4 mile is poor indicator of which is the faster car.

Many times people would brag I did a 10 or 11 at the track.
Only to get wasted by my car on a rolling street race.

Roll race tells the story not the 1/8 or 1/4 mile. Nothing worse than a quick start like a tesla then get your *** blown off.
I don't own cars like that.

GTR's are a hole shot car launching at 4500 RPM with AWD after that they lose there advantage.

I have the A8 and the factory launch control is awful. Spin, pull power, spin pull power..repeat. GTR launch is flawless. Z06 torque makes up for a flawed launch :-) Best not to use launch control with Z06 and just feather throttle. <br/>

The gtr's are great at first and second gear'.. In my 2009 GTR i would do 1.6's or 1.7's 60' consistant all day long with 11.3 or 11.4 @123..


From a roll it is evident that the zo6 would win as the gtrs aggressive launch counts for nothing 3550lbs @ 650Hp =5.46lb/HP for z06 to 3830lbs @ 545Hp =7.02lbs/Hp for the gtr.

I am impressed how from a dig the zo6 caught up and passed the gtr pretty quick. Even if the GTR(101,770) and zo6(79,999) had the same msrp i would take the zo6.. Add to that the better looks of the zo6 from sungkyo's picture.. AWD is not worth $21,000 plus the added 280lbs, 105 less Hp and a outdated styling..

Godzilla needs a remake pretty bad.... It was the best for many years but others have gotten better.

I guess the Z won race 2. But, if it takes that long to do so and nearing 150 mph, it's not a win that'll happen on the street (and shouldn't if people are being safe/mature).
