It's a physical unit - should we ask them to change the unit so they need to recertify and retest the entire car? I don't think GM will do that as most people that buy this car don't actually push their cars.
I agree....The heat soak is inherent because the entire unit is aluminum and acts as a heat sink between the cylinder heads on top of the motor. If the entire unit were made of advanced polymer resin vs conductive aluminum it would be a game changer as far as heat soak is concerned.

I got no PDR. I'm currently sitting @ very delicate position in our family busyness and can't risk having PDR video exposed to the wrong people. I like going to busyness trips to all parts of Europe with it while doing a lot more than the speed limit. I got caught once in my Dads Z06 doing nearly 300kp/h in a 50 zone. It cost my family dearly.. I'm not gonna do that again.

But I can do something else. I can drive over if any of you decide to take a vacation in Germany some day. Hit me up here and I'll be happy to come.

This is a painful example of why it is pointless to engage you.

It does indeed, just not as much as the C7Z. The C7Z has many advantages but a smaller main radiator and possibly airflow due to packaging challenge the C7Z to stave off heatsoak more than the ZR1.

Lavender - both the points you have brought up are proven issues. They are not in debate. If you owned an actual car and had actual experience with one - you may know this.

The YouTube comment is silly as I own the car, have tested it and you do not. You are a wiki poser. Nothing you wrote about regarding your personal ownership or "experiences" is true. You can state otherwise - but no one on CF - "friend" or "foe" believes you.

And that is a fact.

I thought there are times when individuals (as opposed to manufacturers like GM, Porsche, Ferrari etc who rent the place out for themselves for testing) can run the 'Ring with no speed limits. i.e. go all out. Is that not true? I honestly don't know as I've never been there. But if you can haul azz on the 'Ring with no speed limits, you shouldn't have any concern.

You lost all credibility with this nonsense. Next thing you are going to tell us is you are James Bond.

My understanding is that the speed limits is revoked or is about to be at Nurburgring.

Let me guess, you drive the ring in anger?

Surely you have PDR of something, even if it's of you sitting in Daddy's car going Vroom Vroom....

By the way, what's a "busyness"? Some term you F1 drivers throw around all over Europe?

Correct, speed limits lifted some time ago. I've seen several new runs from Aventadors to Volkswagen Golf GTi Clubsport...

My point on the thread where I said without major problem. Meant without major heat soak. Not that the cars had a bunch of minor malfunctions.

Is the car faster or slower on the green hell. Who knows. There are way to many variables. Until we get a pro driver over there to run multiple back to back sessions with both cars we never will. Frankly I don't particularly care. The z is a beast. And every member in this forum that has one instead of the c6 agrees with me.

Now every member that has the zr1 instead of the c7 probably disagrees. And that's okay.

What in the world are you talking about? You never take care of anything and just make yourself look more nonsensical with every post. Do you really live in such a delusional world where you think what you say is witty and "takes care of business?"
