How bout now. To let air flow. All legal. I checked the IA code.
So all IA owners no need to block air flow with aero mount. Be assured the engine is getting enough air flow.

How much air can those 2 little holes let in? How much more effective would that be? Is it worth it?

Only time you really need the extra cooling is on the track. I would just remove the plate. Actually I don't even run my front plate on the street. Sure I could get a ticket, but I have not yet.

My holes are more visible (as in no plate at all)

Since the OP is from Des Moines, I'll post a photo of my back plate (Grand View is in Des Moines)

So what are the holes really for? (To access screws that hold the bracket to the grille?)

I drilled extra holes in mine so I could remove the bracket and plate as a unit without having to remove the plate from the bracket.

Was that a 9mm or .45ACP?
