Sorry the pictures are not very good. Will get more when weather improves. They are HRE RB1 19/20's with polished dark clear finish.

It's amazing to see so many wheel companies offering an HRE P101 lookalike at various price ranges. The competition allows all Corvette owners to acquire that look no matter how much they are willing to spend. It's a true testament to how perfectly HRE designed that wheel over 5 years ago.

Below is that legendary P101 as well as it's 3-piece sibling the S101.

Why would you spend $100k on a car and then change the wheels. That’s stupid. I’m tired of seeing these wheel ads.

Why would you have your own opinion on what others do to their cars?

Many of my customers change the wheels because they simply don't like the way the factory wheels look. Some change it because they need a more lightweight wheel. Others change it out of necessity due to the factory wheels not holding up very well.

I can only speak for myself but, after spending north of the $100k you spoke of, and finding that my “Made in USA” ~ “America’s Sports Car” had wheels made in China, I opted to purchase wheels made in Missouri that were truly made from forging billet and 5+ pounds lighter. (Sorry for the run on sentence)_. Not to mention stronger, better brake cooling and IMHO much better looking.

What's interesting is calling someone stupid, when the same person is a self proclaimed badass, because he is retired Marine Corp and Cop. I will thank him for his service, but that still doesnt make Barney Fife any less of a dumbass.

The original poster wanted to see aftermarket wheels, not how few words one can write to show their lack of knowledge of the hobby, or how "stupid" he sounds.

Congrats. he won the prize.

Where in Missouri did your wheels come from?

From Finspeed! Search the Forum for “Finspeed Build Thread”. Daniel posted the mfg process of my wheels a couple of years back. They do beautiful work. Great folks to deal with.

I love the wheels that have spokes that get sharp at the top by the barrel. Since the spoke actually mounts further down, to the barrel, with a full metal ring around the inside of the wheel barrel, I wish a manufacturer would bring the top of the spoke to a perfect point like a knife, can make that machined metal, and the ring in black, so its an optical illusion and looks like the spokes will snap off the barrel since they become paper thin where they appear to mount to the barrel.
