With all do respect ....has the Callaway engineering team addressed overheating on engine and automatic transmission during road course track sessions.(above 86 degree ambient )

If so what was done to accomplish this feat that gM seems to be running slightly behind on resolving.

Thanks in advance for your response,

Let's not start this crap again. Has Ligenfelter or any of the other tuners? Why is it every time a Callaway thread is started some one has to chime in asking questions that have already been addressed by Chris. Do a search and read the responses in the other threads. This one is for the owners to showcase their cars. That's what the OP's intentions were for starting the thread.

My Z06 was the first 2016 one to touch the ground at Callaway this year...I will pick her up the 24th from Callaway in Old Lyme...head to the Jersey shore for a few days, then to Carlisle...
Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust will be installed (if it arrives in time) sigh...

Very cool. Just over 2 weeks and you'll be rocking a fun ride.

Please be sure to post up what you think of it.

And with Akra exhaust, too - sweet set up. Congrats.

It was that or different wheels....I can hear the sound when I am driving but I cannot see the wheels when I'm driving....wheels can wait...and I do not hate the OEM wheels. Cleaned out and sold a bunch of crap...ummm I mean good stuff... on Ebay and Craig's list...used the funds for extras for the Z06....

I have done a LOT of HP corvette builds and even more auto Trans builds, my math/bench racing etc. gives me an idea of what a Callaway Z would run. I dare not say here what I think it will run because I don't want this thread to turn to ****.

With trucks rolling out from Callaway with Zs to deliver, we've got to be only a few days from the first folks getting these.

That sounds like a good time. You're ahead of me a good bit on timing. You'll be getting yours about the same time mine will be getting picked up.

I'm gonna have to drive mine as much as possible b/n now and then; will be tough to not have it for 3-4 weeks.

A8....I can drive a stick well, I did not know a automatic until I was 30, but I drive my corvettes a lot...I put 25,400 miles on my C7 in 19 months....so did not want to deal with a manual in traffic...when I track I use the paddle shift...

Probably can't go wrong with either choice. With the hp and torque it'll have, shifting on track may be optional. Just ride that torque wave around the track.

And on the street it'll be a great hooligan rig.

Default Pumped

I am so pumped! My 2016 torch red and kalahari convertible just shipped out to Callaway two days ago. Being my first Vette, I am all in! Look forward to sharing experiences with everyone once I the car is returned. Pic is attached below before shipping out.

I love it. Go big or go home.

Nice way to get introduced to Corvettes - Callaway as your first one. Congrats.

I currently have an ERA 427s/c cobra that I assembled with 520hp 428cj and a 2007 AMG cls63 with 507hp 6.2 litre motor as my daily. So the Callaway z06 is definitely a new dimension. Planning on being careful with it so I don't become the guy on YouTube going straight right in hid new Z06.
