Advice on Car Lifts
For those of you will garage car storage lifts, what make and model did you go with? I am between, CEM Lifts, Quality Lifts and Direct Lifts.
This is for my Z07 and 65 Corvette.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

Scraping the splitter.
My opinion is BendPak or Rotary. Nothing else.
Many of these lift companies are shady, and several of them have tanked and then returned under a different name just to screw people all over again. There have been a few threads about this on YellowBullet. One member's relative even screwed over a bunch of people there by selling them lifts and then not delivering.
I have a SuperLift and a BendPak. The latter makes the former look like a light duty piece of junk.
FWIW...that Direct Lift looks VERY similar to the old SuperLift. SuperLift went out of business, but not before screwing over lots of people. I called them a couple of years ago looking for a part for my four-post and spoke with a guy who said they bought SuperLift and were trying to fix all the issues. I forget what the new name was.

Your thoughts on this one? Its wide enough to fit the Z07. Others are not.

We have a bend pak
I would recommend getting the one with the wider tracks. The c4 zr-1 with 315s on lift in picture has a tough time backing on in reverse pretty narrow

I bought a ProPark plus from Direct lift, I think it is rated at 9000 pounds.
Biggest issue for me was Direct lift has a place in Phoenix, and they offered delivery of an assembled lift 100 miles north up I-17, off a tiltback truck right into my garage for a very reasonable amount.
No assembly, no hassle.
Other than having to tighten one hydraulic fitting that was seeping , It works fine.
For multi car stacking, i put the Ferrari on the lift as it has the lowest profile, and isn't driven as much.

I have a Bendpac HD9XL and it is plenty wide for my 2015 Z06. (Be careful with "XL" and other suffixes on the HD9 model numbers...there have been "revisions" over the years that have affected the width of the lift!. I have a "rev. m", which was the current revision when I bought my lift about a year ago).
Bendpac is not perfect...it took a piece of metal and a welder to modify mine to work correctly. The good news is Bendpac customer service was ABSOLUTELY SUPER. They owed up to the error, paid for the entire modification, and had it completed at break-neck speed. If I was looking for another lift, Bendpac would be on the top of my list. No question.
I use my 4-post HD9XL for parking/storage, light repairs, cleaning/detailing lower sections of the car and the wheels (bad back et al). I splurged for a pair of air over hydraulic bridge jacks (pricey, but NICE!) and extra long aluminum ramps (absolutely would do again!) Also went with the 120VAC power unit...plug-in to the wall outlet easy and the lift runs plenty fast enough for home use.

How is the approach on your Z06? Mine is lowered so I may need 'Race Ramps' to get it on the top rack. Any issues?

Thanks for sharing all the install pictures. Anyone have a good recommendation for a lift installer in the DFW area?
I've been going back and forth but leaning towards a Bendpak HD9 myself but lacking any kind of hoist would need a pro to unload/install it for me.
Thanks!

Drifting
I have 2 ProPark 9's from DirectLift for years now. They work great and the added width makes it easy to move in and out without worrying about mirrors or wheels touching.

What about BackYard Buddy? They make some wicked good lifts with USA made steel and use a full box vertical steel legs. I think they are a sponsor but I could not find them in the list.

BTW, there are MANY posts about lifts on Gargage Journal site.

I have an Eagle lift and it has served me very well for over 4 years. Love it. When I had my C6Z it would fit on top, but was like right on the edge of the outside of the tracks. But I have the MS-8000. If you regularly put your Z on the lift, then I'd recommend getting the 8000XLT which is a few inches wider and should accommodate wider stance more easily. However, if you plan to put your 65 on top then the 8000 is fine. When I had my 69 vette and my 08 Z06, I had the 69 on the lift and parked the C6Z below and it was perfect.
Eagle has been around forever and they sell tons of shop equipment and other lifts. They arent going out of business any time soon. Also, as a very nice added feature, the lifts come with heavy duty casters so you can move the lift, or even move a car around while its on the lift (lift has to be all the way lowered though). It does come with the anchor bolts too if you elect to permanently secure it to the ground.
