Agreed... was with New Jersey Manufacturers forever and I had zero complaints and they were humping me by the end.
Use Progressive now. 3 cars on policy Q50, 04 Seville, and my 17 Z. $320.00 for all three cars so basically comes out to $150.00 a month for the Z, its listed as secondary vehicle. only wife and I on policy we are 33 and 29 and in New Jersey.

Burning Brakes
I know this was an older thread that was resurrected but glad it was. Took delivery of my new Z06 in November and was a bit surprised how much my insurance jumped with Geico. I figured it would go up a little but chalked it up to a more expensive car and having a teen at home still.
For giggles, called Amica and wound up shifting all of our business to them except motorcycle (that stayed with Geico). The more questions I asked Geico, the worse it got for things like parts replacement and glass coverage. Auto policy dropped by over $1k a year, better coverage and no BS.
Was with USAA for decades and they became way overpriced for auto prompting the move to Geico. Looks like Amica has earned our business and seem well reviewed...

Makes me wonder if we shouldn't be checking around for insurance rates after several years with a company in case they are slowly "raping" us like GEICO did me. I was with them for over 20 years. I called them a couple of time in the past 5 years asking why insurance on my 370Z went up even though the appraised value was going down. I was told repair costs were going up. A$$holes !

The thing that really irritated me with Geico (besides the rate) was they were telling me I had full glass coverage but didn't and "their option" regarding replacement parts. When pressed on the glass coverage they said yes, was covered BUT that is only after a $500 deductible and they could use whatever they wanted.
I was also recently warned about Geico having the option of using whatever parts they wanted versus OEM or actual replacement parts. My calls to them today confirmed it so cancelled them...

Interesting.
I have Geico, and over the past two years have had to have my 2010 2500HD and my 2017 Z06 repaired on my insurance due to uninsured motorists. Both times, every part used was an original GM part, in GM boxes, and identified on the repair invoice with a GM part number. Both were fender benders that required replacement of fenders/bumpers, etc. but original GM parts nonetheless.
Oh, and my premium is:$526.80 for 6 months.

I do.
I have Acuity for everything else (house + 2 other vehicles). Had I added my '17 GS Vert to my Acuity coverages, it would've been more, with less coverage, and deductibles. My Hagerty full value policy has zero deductibles.
Rates for the PHX area suck.

I have been using Geico for 8 years now. I picked up my new Z06 last night and the dealer called them to add my new car. They came back with $1000.00 for 6 months. I had a 2013 Z06 that I traded that I only paid 450 for 6 months. They claim that when the agent put my old Z06 in that they had it listed as a base Corvette. I told them ******** because it goes off of the vin number. I'm in the used car business and I'm not stupid. So I had my buddy that is a insurance broker check around for me and I should know tomorrow what he came up with. I have 4 vehicles on my policy and one is a 2015 Escalade that was about the same price as the Z06 and it is only 420 for 6 months. My credit score is over 800 and I'm 44 years old with no tickets or accidents... WTF!!!
its a ‘17 Z originally added to policy with 350 miles now at 9k.
i’m a similar age and CS to OP, living in Texas and California.
