I had waited for better than 6 months for anyone to get back to me from Maggie or edelbrock with no results. I decided I would use the edelbrock 2.3 for the lt1 and drill/tap the lt4 heads for fitment. But then I stepped up

I'll tell u what though, this new Maggie looks like it's ready to get the job done 0PHUX indeed

I do like the look of the Callaway better but this one is nice because you do not have to cut the hood. Keeping the OEM parts is good too. The real test will be seeing which one works best on a full build.

I was also wondering if the z06 blower kit is less than the $7999 MSRP of the standard C7 kit

Looks very compact, especially given the increase in displacement. I'd love to know the weight difference vs stock. Don't want to hurt handling due to added mass up front.

Can't wait to see what the torque curve down low is like (GM said they used 1.7 for faster response of boost). Can probably bet on the higher quality of the Maggie to make up the difference.

Standard 3-year/36,000 mile Warranty on the supercharger hardware
Standard 1-year Limited Warranty on electronics
Optional 3-year/36,000 mile, 5-year/60,000 mile or 5-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty (additional cost)

I'm assuming if an authorized dealer does install and tune, you can purchase the powertrain warranty? Anyone have any experience with the Magnason powertrain warranty?

We would prefer that Magnuson release official pricing first, but we do know that it will be very close to the listed pricing for the C7 system.

It certainly is! We will make sure to post weight differences on the two blowers prior to installing as we know this is a great concern for track oriented drivers.

Nice comparison pics. Magnuson always puts together well thought out kits. If it can best the 1.7L by 100whp it would be a very nice upgrade.

Can we assume more hp = more heat generation? And if so what provisions ru guys making to dissipate heat ( I assume better SC inter coolant system)? Would this be useable for road course applications or would u say this is more for drag racers?

looks great. My thought is nothing has changed from 10 years ago. The top mount blowers produce too much trq down low and blow the tires. If i were taking the the top mount off the Zo6 i would do a centri on this built motor. 14.7 psi , Zero heat soak , more manageable power curve and 800whp+.

at the end of the day LT4, Ls7,Ls2 , LS1 the centri was always the better option for those motors vs Top mount. twin turbo being the best option from all of them.

I agree! I am surprised to see this blower as a option for the z06! unless you could option it from the factory. I wish this blower was standard on the z06 with about 750 hp.

Went to the Magnuson site and they don't propose any model for the Z06 as yet. Is that one a pre-serie?

The only one I found there is for the Stingray and able to provide up to 120HP additional to the wheel.

I feel years down the road these will be the common move for the C7 Z06. Almost like the 03-04 Mustang Terminators common move is the Kenne bell.
