My question is... Why did you install wheels with 1" offset, knowing well they were going to stick out so much?...

In his other thread he mentioned that it was up to the wheel manufacturer as to the size and offsets. As compensation for them using the car for the commercial/fitting/etc he got to keep the wheels.

it looks like more than an inch of offset. I'd be worried about wheel bearings down the road.

I'm wondering about the "Ring" stickers on his car. Did GM finally release the time?

I think the offset is just not appropriate for a sports car and makes it look like a 1970s muscle car. Plus it visually negates the rear fender flares and clashes with the lines of the car. IMHO of course. As they say opinions are like...

I have a stock C7 Z06/07. The (Cup2) rear tires through abrasives at the inside of the wheel well openings and the horizontal area directly behind the tires..."sand blasting" the body color paint. Noticeable damage in about a 1000 miles.

Sorry Zhopper. It's clever, but you should have just gotten wheels with the correct offset.

That was not my call to make. I was simply asked to offer my car for the promotion, and I did. The wheel manufacturers know who their target customers are. I am not going to tell them how to run their business. All I did, once I saw the new wheels on the car, was to come up with a solution, which basically was to match the front fenders. In person, the car does look good. IMO, now the front fenders no longer look like an afterthought. When you look at the car side-bi-side with a stock Z06, which we did, mine still has an OEM appearance but with a more aggressive look to it, and that's not a bad thing. In person, the new look is so subtle, you don't even notice they're add ons.

There's no reason to specifically point at Americans here, unless you're some clown with an axe to grind. There are plenty of poor taste mods coming from all countries.

Call G3 Carbon, LLC. They are working on rear flares for Z06 and Stingray.

About 10 days ago I got an email from SEMA telling me that "due to the popularity of the show" they can't accommodate all the cars originally approved. They only allowed one car for the vendor that was taking my car. It is Ferrada Wheels - Booth 48231 (you should stop by and tell Michael, the owner, you were looking for the Z06). I was a little disappointed as I was looking forward to it being my first trip to SEMA. Instead, my wife talked me into a NY trip.

Default C7 rear spats to match the front

I love the idea! While some of you disagree, that is OK. If everyone liked the same thing, we would all have the same thing, boring! But, some of us like the idea. Vendors should make these to satisfy the demand. Those of you who don't like the idea don't have to buy them. Vendors are you listening?

I think it's a great solution to the wheels he was dealt with. I'd go for a wide body panel if I had to deal with it. Even going custom if I had to.
