Default Kerbeck Praise

I posted in another thread I started, but I thought that my positive experience with Kerbeck warrants its own thread.

It was one week ago that I posted on this forum asking whether any dealers discounted. Someone on the board recommended Kerbeck to me.

Called Terri Giordano from the corvette showroom, and she put the deal together for me in a day. The hardest part was choosing which car I wanted, as they had so many cars in stock. Their pricing was great. A big savings over my local dealer.

But the two local dealers I visited cannot be compared to Terri and Ron Michael from Kerbeck. Maybe I am spoiled because my Porsche and Land Rover dealers treat me great and trip over themselves to make me happy, but I wasn't ready for the "let's make a deal" demeanor of the local dealers. I'm sure that they are trying to earn a commission, but if I am spending over $100k on a car, I expect a bit more.

Kerbeck was so much more like my local Porsche dealer as far as customer service and treatment is concerned. So any of you folks out there with nice stables who like white glove treatment, call Kerbeck. You will save money to boot.

Excellent experience even though I am on the opposite coast from them.
Courtesy delivery of my custom ordered Z06.

Default kerbeck

I put a fantastic deal together on a 2016 long beach red Z with Dave Salvatore on early October. Dave and Ron have been awesome to deal with. Kept me advised throughout the whole process. Car is due in any day now. Simple to deal with all the way. Wish Florida dealers were as good but they just are not.

Kudoos to both Dave and Ron for ewxceptional service !!!

Glad you had a great experience. Patiently waiting GMS pricing on a custom ordered car.
No takers for now from any of the large forum dealers on a Z at invoice.

I recently made two calls to two people at Kerbeck to buy a new Vette, gave them all my particulars, but never heard back. So I went with MacMulkin. Same discounted price, and more enthusiastic service.

Here is the other side of that coin. My 2015 ZO6 was number 186. After the order was placed in Sept 2015 I had nothing but trouble getting the sales person, Rob , to return my calls even though he said that he always returned his calls. It was a nightmare to talk to him. When I finally got the car Rob never called me to tell me I had to get a VIN check to register it. As a result, the New Jersey temporary registration ran out. I could not drive the car after that. To make even a longer story shorter, I finally started talking to Bill Capella because Rob would not return my calls. Mr Capella was very helpful and got the problem taken care of. I can't say enough good about him. I love the car.

I too had and continue to have a great experience with Kerbeck. I think like any business that does a huge volume, for various reasons not always directly in control of the dealer there are always a few dissatisfied customers or transactions that could have gone better. When you think about it, they move well over 1000 corvettes a year and this year probably closer to 1500. If you dig deep enough, you will read about negatives at all of the forum dealers. Price was not the lowest, calls didn't get returned, etc. In the big picture, if their conduct wasn't among the best in the business, they wouldn't be the largest corvette dealer.

I agree and add that some people are very hard to please and quick to post anything negative.

The overall feeling I get from KB is they can take it or leave it with regards to my phone order. No pictures of the car online, asked my salesman to take a couple with his cell phone and text me... nothing. Had to wait for him to come back from his day off to push the order through. Very busy dealership, whenever I leave a message it takes half a day to get a call back. Paperwork was wrong when it got here today by fedex. Finance says they'll redo it on Monday and send it out. Hopefully paperwork will be correct on Tuesday.

I think kerbeck is great at getting to the point and they have the pull to get things done and I like that. That being said I actually ended up going with macmulkin, they were a lot more personable and return calls etc. Everyone has different wants/needs to meet their own requirements to get the deal done. Either dealership is equally as good I'm sure.

And they took the initiative and set up my courtesy delivery, something I expected to do myself.

I bought both of my C6's from Kerbeck and have already contacted Dave about a Z06 convertible. Once the F430 has sold, I will be placing my order. Good people to work with and a painless buying experience even long distance.

I think I'll be in touch with Kerbeck as well when it's time for me to get a Z again. Local Houston dealers are the worst... They just don't know how to treat a customer looking to spend 100k... They treat them like another Cruze customer.

I am glad you had a positive experience with them. I tried buying a Z from them during that supplier sale they had last month. Dave claims he never got the emails from me and everytime I call up there, he was gone.

The general manager stop sending me emails after I guess he couldn't give me what I wanted for my ZR1 as the other dealers were willing to give me, so he wrote me off.

I did talk talk to Terry a few times and she was great to work with . Sucks the deal fell through for me.

I have bought four Corvettes from Kerbeck including the $91K Z06 I currently own and just about everyone there has been great over the years. Most of the Corvette specialists/management there know me by name and have gone out of their way to be accomodating but one guy I just do not get is Sam Kelly. Everytime I'm in the showroom (and it's been quite a few times) it's like I'm invisible to this guy, even after buying the number of Vettes I have from there. He will just as soon walk right past me before he will say hello or even acknowledge my presence. I know it sounds petty but the fact is that I have gotten more help from George Kerbeck than this guy. It's not like I'm down there buying Hyundai Elantras or something.
