Default Thanks SubChevy/Trunk Monkey/ Comp seats

So doing the Competition seat back conversion.

Suburban Chevy/Truck Monkey gave me great price.
Then pulled all parts in minutes!

Special thanks to Rick! Cant believe cheaper than ordering from factory and not nearly as difficult as I thought..
Looking at 3 hours on the 1st seat and 2 hours on the 2nd seat.

So excited! Stuff on its way!!

Wanted the Comp seats so bad !!
I will update progress on this project with pics and testimonials.

Thanks
Andrew

What color seats and trim level? Good luck it should be a better setup than the factory comp seats when you're done. I like the way the bottom feels on the gt seat better.

Exactly! I don't remember, but there definitely was a difference.. As seat bottom in GT seat is more comfortable. But Comp seats are AWESOME looking!
I have the Jet Black LZ3 seats. The leather is not noticeable as remarked bye others who have done the same conversion.
This has been done before.

Evidently parts are much more readily available now!

I've bought from Suburban and been happy with their service!
Is it possible for you to post a parts list for the conversion? Are you doing the labor or farming it out?
Thanks!
S.

Have you owned both? I've sat in both and definitely went comp - wether a couch or a car seat the firmness turns to soft in time - its nothing special just foam - maybe depends on how long your keeping the car

Original poster said around 2100. Not sure if this dealer got a better deal.

Maybe we could do a group buy of the package. I'm sure we could get at least 10 people that want to make the swap.

Hey Snorman. Someone beat me to punch on list . Rick will double check if you ask him.

As a nice fun project. Taking my time starting with passengers seat first.

I will update thread to keep alive.. Also to lend any additional hints!

Want to once again thank Suburban Chevyparts first time dealing with them and the gentleman Rick was great!

The 2 airbags can be left off this list as well to do this conversion.
The airbag part numbers are the same regardless of the seats currently in the car or changing to the competition seats.
We are more than happy to include for those that want them, but if done carefully, your existing airbags can be used.
Thank you!!

Do you have availability of the 2016 two tone seat covers yet? I have napa leather red seats on my 15 and would love to upgrade to the napa leather red with suede microfiber black inserts.

Yes we can get the two tone GT bucket seats.
We are ordering some in to get good quality pictures, and determine exactly which style you are looking for.

Also, if you have a 1LT/2LT interior and want a 2LT/3LT interior or are changing/adding colors than we can help you with that to match your seats.

Very nice. The comp seats are the only option that I didn't get that I wish that I would have. Might be time to fix that.
