im wondering for a street driven car..NO METH and on 91 or 93 pump what the blower will do. Im sure headers and cam helps but wondering what most would be on a pump gas only car with no other mods.

The car made 970ish rwhp without the meth turned on. It would make 880-920rwhp on 91 without meth. Why anyone wouldnt use meth in an area where 91 is the highest octane fuel available at the pump is beyond me. Its proven to be safe and reliable.

Its been used for 80 years. Works wonders and engines love it.

Too bad your not in Florida, you could have run 110 and called it 'pump gas'

Honestly guys, it's not so much octane as it is volume of fuel past about 900 RWHP.

It's a DI engine, volume is the challenge for HIGH HP applications.

For that price, I'd rather run E85 (pump gas).

Default Tuner Tuner Tuner

Well I am not a tuner can tell you from personal observation that the LT1 and Lt4s have an extremely complex series of tables inside their ECU's that control of course every operational aspect of the engine.

GM by design has many more tables in the Lt1 and Lt4 ECU than in their LS3 series of engines. What some of these tables actually control is also something GM doesn't want you to know about and doesn't care to share that info even with their dealers.

So basically when you are trying to maximize the power potential of these engines, you HAVE to have someone that is not only an excellent tuner but has had first hand experience in knowing EXACTLY what parameters to change and what effects those changes make.

I would guesstimate that there are MAYBE 5-6 tuners in the country CURRENTLY that can get this type of performance out of an LT4. AMP is one of those and the first one to make 1000+ on boosted ONLY LT4 so KUDOS to them.

E85 puts more strain on the HPFP, and isn't needed yet obviously.

You are correct in that AMP is the kinda place to take their time, and provide great tuning for their customers. Top notch gang over there.

It was funny when you would tell people the dyno number, and they were like... "oh at the crank right?".... and you had to say "No, the wheels"

And watch their jaw drop.

Meth is good. On our V6 Buicks we run 150-175+ hp per liter at the wheels on pump gas and meth, heck there is a whole heads up class dedicated to pump gas and meth it's so popular.
