Hey Guys,

I have a new 2016 Z06 that is Bayed. My dealer told me all 2016 Z06's are being held for a quality check this last week. None are being delivered nationwide right now. Anyone know what the issue is? Another frustrating delay from GM.

I'm at SEMA right now, but my local dealer told me of a TSB for the flex plate. I'm taking it in as soon as I return. They may be holding for that. I don't know for sure. I'll ask around while I'm here. Right now Chevy is just too excited about an announcement for Tues they are keeping tight lipped about. C8? Zora? IDK. I'll let y'all know as soon as I can. BTW the flex plate is for some rivits in them getting noisy. They have a new design for now.

Check directly with GM bypass your dealer unless it's a large dealer like Kerbeck.. Smaller dealers lie a lot ... Example Paradise Cadillac in SoCal lied to me when I ordered my 2015 Z06 in April 2014, they told me I was the 1st in line at their dealership ..and I should have it between Dec and Feb 2015 they kept telling BS like all orders are on hold or the assembly line ran out of Performance brakes ..!! I found out they were giving my slot to customers on the fence about buying ...my 2015 Z06 came in July 1st, then they tried to add 25k over MSRP..!! I called Dave Brown at Kerbeck on July 3rd ordered a 2016 Z06, did NCM delivery my car was ready 8/21 but I picked it 9/11..... And I sent the video link of me picking it up at the NCM to Paradise Cadillac..!!!! Since they told me I'll be waiting in line a year for a 2016 ..!!!! Check above your dealership they may be Rats !!!

They did the same last december for the 2015 model. The QC only takes a could extra days, I had mine 6 weeks after ordering.

Thanks, Guys. Hopefully, this QC will be done this week. Ordered the Z06 at the end of June. It's been a long wait.

I'm in the same boat. My TPW is scheduled for the week of Nov. 16th. I would love to have it before Christmas, so my wife can put it under the tree for me.

I saw that too. That's why it seems odd that he's able to continue to get deliveries, when I'm told that GM stopped all Z06 deliveries for QC. I'll see what happens the next few days. I don't get it.

I know of one that was delivered last Friday and is being picked up today.

Contact Chevrolet Customer Care directly.
They will give you the current status and send you weekly email updates until the car is built.

Mike Furman told me about this. If you get your car w/ 2 miles, it means it was literally driven out of the factory and onto the truck. If you get it with more (like something teen or low 20’s) it means they subjected it through more QC tests.

My 2LZ Z07 car built on 10/19 was shipped very quickly and is currently unloaded at the destination rail yard less than 5 miles from me. I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow or Wed as soon as it get to the dealer and completes the PDI.

Some of the other guys in my TPW sat at "bayed" for a few days, but I believe they were base Stingrays/Z51 cars and not Z06's.

I just finished "Chating" with Melissa at GM. All she could tell me is that my Z06 is built and awaiting to be shipped. No help on the QC question. My dealer doesn't know how long the QC will take. I am assuming that Z06 delivers taking place last week and this week were shipped prior to the GM QC, but who knows. I'll just have to wait a bit longer.

Mine was built on 10/20 and delivered to me (via dealership) last Friday.

My Z06 has been bayed since 10/21/15. Now its held for a QC check. I don't get why it takes GM so long to build and ship a car. First the color was on constraint and there was an allocation issue. I have been waiting on this car since June. Very frustrating!

That's sweet. I expected to have mine delivered last week too. No QC problem with yours then. Very frustrating process!

I've been told that there are cars that are picked randomly for detailed QC checks. If this is the case for yours, with the exception of the delay, this is a good thing. It means it's getting checked over with a fine tooth comb.
