Front Splitter NECESSITY!! You really should buy this!
Everyone with a front splitter needs to order these... IMMEDIATELY...
I installed these last week on my z07 equipped 2016. I am so happy I did. They will save you a bundle in splitter damage.

Yes they are kind of expensive for little bits of metal. Yes they are worth every penny and more.
Good job, to the forum vendor!!!

I just wish I had known about these before pulling into my driveway and scraping it the first time... Or the second while waiting for them to come in. The car fits without scraping, I just have to be careful. The bad time some jerk came whipping around the corner going 40 or so in our 25 zone. I had to punch it so as to not get creamed. SCRATCH.

That's all well and good, but what about in front of those, on the leading edge? As careful as I am with my stage 1, on a steep enough dip (even when I approach at an angle) the underside of my leading edge has scraped.

Yes this is my concern as well. I have rubbed a few times and I will be damned if it isn't the front bottom edge of the splitter, ahead to the bolts. IUt would be great to see a veh or hear validation from someone who can validate that the raised washer (if you wat to call it that) makes contact a few mm before the splitter edge.

$57??? Are they sure its not $5.70? Thats what that stuff is worth. Nonetheless, does anybody know if this truly works. I do scrape the bottom of my splitter but its not visible. Just curious to know if it really helps.

Looks to me like adding bumpers on the bottom of a carbon fiber splitter will just make sure you break the splitter instead of just scraping it.
Decreasing the clearance might mean you hit it where you would have otherwise not scraped at all.

Saving $57 on a $2,000 piece of fiber? Now that's :crazy2
For myself, however, I'll live with scraping and dragging it as it never seems to hurt it, but the front-on smash that Curbalert will helpfully prevent is the big one.

They are not really washers. They are more of a conical bump. It is kind of hard to tell from simply looking at it and I will attempt to take a photo tomorrow in the sunlight.
They protect the bottom edge of the splitter from impacting. So much so that I have not had one singe bump that impacted any of the CF since installing. Before that I had scraped once pulling out of a parking lot and TWICE pulling into my own driveway. I have impacted these on my driveway before, but they protected it very well. With that said, they will not protect you from smashing into a curb.
I highly recommend them, they do work. It is worth every bit of the $50.

I have had them for several months. They are machined conical bumpers, not just washers with square edges. They work. And you cannot see them once installed unless you lay down in front of the car.

Maybe some people live someplace real flat, but driveway aprons and curb crossings around here, sometimes lightly catch my stage one splitter at stock height, and i am careful about traversing those.
