Default Intercooler flow diagram/chart

My main interest is the plastic bottle that's located on the passenger fender which has the air bubble. Is the hose that's located near the top and to the front of that bottle a coolant "in" or a coolant "out" hose?

Got a diagram from a dealer. It looks like a coolant "in" hose from the supercharger hot return side, then there is a hose near the bottom of that plastic bottle that looks like the coolant "out" side or return side to the electric pump and then back into the supercharger.

Interesting the dual pass design of the radiator. Before and after the expansion tank.

Also with the radiator between the expansion tank and the pump inlet, this explains why the system is so fussy about small amounts of air in the system as it causes suction loss on the pump inlet.

Default Better Rad flow diagram Picture

Oh your welcome

I will work on trying to get the corresponding numbered sheet that has all the parts listed. For now, i assuming number 17 is the pump and number 22 is it's bracket. Someone fill us in here plz....if you have access to this information that would be good......Until then, guess i will read up on intercoolers. Can 17 be easily removed and relocated?

Why do they put the tank between the two radiator passes? Seems like a strange circuit, but they must have their reasons.

I need to replace intercooler hose #20, but the online parts websites do not seem to have this same diagram. Can you provide the part number?

Default Supercharger Challenges

Appreciate all the information on my LT4 supercharger install into 37 Roadster. Should be really cool when finished. Right now I am looking for the pump bracket an reservoir bottle for the S/C. I purchased a pump from a guy on this site but no brakes came with it. Also, does anyone know where I can get the pig tail for the pump. I suspect the pump is always running while engine is on, correct?

Again, appreciate all of your expertise on this site.

Rick

The pump isn't always running but it does run most of the time.
Its controlled by the PCM and I think it is held off until temp is above 90*?? (I don't have any references here).

Anyway point is it can be controlled in the ECM.
