Since the Halltech "tricks" the computer into leaning out the A/F ratio and also advances the timing, what does a 'tune' in addition to the Halltech do?
6,000 RPM launches is what got the 10.643 ET and the trap speeds.
Bone Stock(no CAI or tune) C6 Z06(505 HP) with DR's is good for 10.715 @ 130.32, just .162 slower than this C7 Z06(650 + 30 to 40????HP) with an aftermarket air breather and DR's.

Damn nice numbers, I wish I had known would have loved to go even if to watch. Congrats to you. Did you run at the FL2K like 11.20 with a bad clutch? did you have the Halltech at that time? I have a terrible time getting my Super Sports to stick with just the Halltech & Ported TB. Do you like the Hoosiers? How do they handle on the street? and what sizes? Sorry for all the ?? I am looking at tires/wheels. Thanks.

I was at modern muscle car not fl2k,I put a rps carbon twin disc in last week, ran 11.20 on stock tire and slipping stock clutch in95 degree heat at modern muscle car 6 weeks ago,the Hoosiers are great I can launch at6000 rpm on the strip with no slip ,on the street they will spin a little and then hook, the wheels are 18\12 forgelines, tires are335/30/18 I do get good grip on the stock tire if they are hot,get a track rear alignment to have the back tires stand straight up that will help the stock setup is 1.2 negative camber.

I'm pretty sure the ZR1 and C6Z don't have torque management (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), which from what I've heard is the real killer for the M7 at a drag strip. Another thing is DA. Someone mentione temps, but without knowing DA, who knows what type of conditions this car ran in compared to the C6Z you keep talking about.

I agree. Some of you guys make it seems like the C7 is not part of the Corvette family. Give the car a break. It's apparently putting up good numbers.

Mid 10's! You sir, have a bad-assed car. Any video?
As for this guy Joe, why do some of you always take the bait? Ignore him and he'll go away. They always do.

I only show my Corvettes at "All Corvette" shows and only at those that 100% of the proceeds goes to charities. My restored 56 and my all original 64(with original paint) shows pretty good.
I only show my C6 Z06 when it's not practical to show my two vintage Corvettes.
Oh, and I don't have to have a plaque placed in front of my cars to show my cars. In fact I ONLY show my car, not previous trophies I've won or a fancy plaque.
The last All Corvette show I displayed my C6 Z06 in was this past Sept at Reliable Chevrolet, with 100% of the proceeds going to No Greater Sacrifice, The Green Beret Foundation and to breast cancer research.
Approximately 75 Corvettes were displayed by their owners and each car owner was given a sheet and asked to select their choice of the top 25 Corvettes. 95% of the cars were C5's, C6's and C7's. No formal judging, just Corvette owners asked to pick the cars they liked.
My 7.5 year old C6 Z06 with 46,000 miles was parked next to a new 2015 C7 Z06/Z07 with under 1,000 miles. We BOTH received a certificate.
And my car was not detailed. In fact I washed it after my last 250 mile Corvette lunch cruise(in the rain). I did a normal wash a couple of days after the lunch cruise and parked it in my garage. On the day of the show, I drove it to Reliable, and went over it with a California Duster.
That was the extent of my "prepping" the car. And I didn't display a plaque showing the "stats" of "your" car.
