Default ECO Mode after tune

Anyone have any issues with ECO mode after a tune. Mine doesn't seem to be doing the cylinder deactivation after I had it tuned with CAI, Pulley and headers.

Vengeance tuned my cylinder deactivation out.

I was told it wouldn't effect it. I thought they just adjusted the fuel tables. Is this just a setting? Like skip shift used to be?

I'm not sure. I remember they told me I would no longer have v4 activation which is what I wanted.

eco mode should be shut off, after a proper tune.

Most tuners tune it out for most customers.
I suspect your tuner left CD off out of habit without thinking about it.
Just let them know that you prefer to have it, its just a selection for them in the tune.

Merry Christmas to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spoke about this with few other Z06 owners. Once you go in there, and mess with the factory tune, the car will never be the same.

Why should eco mode be turned off? My mods aren't anything that would effect non WOT operation.
They did say it would not effect ECO mode I think they just forgot to leave it on.

Its a daily driver so I like the feature.

Eco mode with Most all aftermarket exhaust systems and headers generates a less than desirable exhaust note/resonance when DOD is active.

I'd wager long tube headers sound pretty grim with AFM active. GM spent a lot of time adding valves with various holes in them getting it to sound nice with the factory setup. Like three UPS trucks trying to get through the same intersection.

Then left completely off the car. ECO is a joke at best.

I'm betting on the long tube's sound a whole lot better.

The stock sound is not very good.

Track is pure garbage sound like a hole in the exhaust. This is one area they did poorly on. the AFM is a joke.
The only thing that is good is the ability to go quiet.

I agree with RoadRebel and Dave396LT1 wholeheartedly. I did the corsa mid pipe with the corsa extreme axle back and I am here to tell you it sounds like crap when the AFM kicks in. Once you give it a little throttle, it sounds great. I plan on doing a pulley with tune this spring and I will make sure the tuner takes AFM out of the loop. Not sure what it would sound like with headers, but I'm guessing it will sound pretty similar. With the mods I plan on doing, gas mileage is the last thing I'm concerned about.

Eco mode back on simple fix. Sound isn't bad with headers. Gas mileage is way back up.
643 RWHP and 24mpg on the highway gotta love it!

You shouldn't worry about it your car runs well.

With a stock tune, most Z06's only enter ECO downhill and then the mileage maxes out at 2 digits, 99, anyway.

Sorry to dig this thread up from the grave but how was this fixed? Mine is not working after a SC tune and the tuner said cylinder deactivation is still active.
