Default GM Employee/Supplier/Military/Credit Union discounts may be effective now!!

I just noticed that the GM Employee/Supplier site has a newly dated eligibility letter (dated today - 1/5/2016).

The previous eligibility letter was dated 12/1/2015, and it said "Corvette (excludes Z06) "- which indicated that the Stingray was eligible for the official GM discounts, but the Z06 was not.

The new 1/5/2016 eligibility letter no longer has the "excludes Z06", so I'm hoping that it will now be eligible. Here's a link to the letter:

https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/vehicle-eligibility

The Military discount site says the same thing:

https://www.gmmilitarydiscount.com/vehicle-eligibility

However, the Credit Union discount site still has the 12/1/2015 letter that excludes the Z06.

One problem is that when you click on "Build and Price" on the Emp/Sup or Mil site and select a Z06, up in the price area it still says "Not eligible for discount" where it should display the discount price.

So.....I'm not sure, but it looks like official GM discounts MAY be available for the Z06!! I know a lot of dealers are giving very good discounts off MSRP now on cars in inventory, but I can't find any that will do a decent discount if I order a car with the options I want. They will discount cars in inventory, but I haven't found one that will give me a discount if I use one of their allocations to order what I want.

Another problem is that even if GM says the discounts are available, dealers don't have to honor them.

At any rate, official GM discounts may now available for the Z06. If anybody has any luck using one, let me know.

I think you are right. I've been watching the same thing. When the 15 Z06, 15 Z28, etc. became available for GMS (Employee), the eligibility guide did the same. As pointed out, the last one showed 12/1 and excluded the 16 Z06 but not the 15 Z06. The one from today does not have the Z06.

As FYI, they also added 0% to 15 Vettes including Z06's as of today. Happy shopping.

Yes is on our website here. Knew they would with inventory stacking up like cord wood. Wait another couple of months and maybe you can get into the holdback!

For clarification, is there now a Credit Union discount? My link to the former Credit union Discount page (https://www.mygmdiscount.com/) still show that the program ended 9/30/2015. Is there a new Credit Union discount program?--Bob

Fantastic News! About time! Now to find a dealer who is accepting it.

UPDATE: I called GM Supplier, and the gentleman on the phone confirmed that 2016 Z06 is no longer excluded. It isn't' available on their "build" tab, but I've seen in the past that updates take up to several weeks on that tab.

Give Kurt a call at Bill Stasek Chevrolet. I was able to place an order for my 2016 z06 at supplier pricing. He even helped me get great financing and delivery. 847-537-7000... Tell him Phil from El Paso told ya. 😎

Just FYI, I went by one of my local dealers today and priced out a Z06 with the Military/Supplier Discount.

A coupe with 2LZ trim and the options I want had:

MSRP $102,925
Discount price $95,539

With 3LZ trim and the same options;

MSRP $106,500
Discount price $98,801

That amounts to right about a 7% discount off MSRP.

Not only that but there is a "Conquest Rebate" of $1000 available through Jan 18th if you own a vehicle made by another manufacturer - so my F150 should reap me that nice little extra disount.

This dealer also says that they normally charge a $799 "Dealer Fee", but don't charge it for the Military or Supplier Discount.

So....the discount price above, minus the $1000 rebate is what I will pay - then of course there will be sales tax and license fees.

The problem is that they won't have a Z06 allocation until about Jan 20th, so I'd miss out on the $1000 rebate.

I'm gonna talk to another couple local dealers this weekend and next week to see if I can find one with an earlier allocation (I know two that I think will), so will probably be ordering my C7 Z06 Z07 Laguna Blue coupe next week!!

Pretty sure a few forum dealers are doing 8/9% off already with no supplier pricing. I guess if you have to ship the car the local dealer will still be cheaper.

Yeah - I know McMulkin is doing something like 8% on a Z06, but that's for cars in their inventory. I haven't contacted them to see if they have an allocation that they would let me use and honor the Mil Discount on it.

I have been looking for a long time for a car with the options I want, and just can't find one. I've found a few that are close, and that I could settle for, but in those cases the dealers won't budge off MSRP, or only come down $1K or $2K.

I think the Mil Discount will give me the best pricing on what I really want.

Unless you are buying something in a dealer's inventory, you won't get assigned an allocation until after the 21st when the next batch are released.

The Supplier and Military Discount sites now display the discount price as well as the MSRP. The Supplier and Military discounts are both the same.

When I did a couple builds, the discount price was about 92.8% of MSRP.
