You need a music organizer program. They are free to download. That way you can organize all music by genre, artist, album, and make playlists.

This is for iTunes, you didn't say what program you use to organize your music:

Also in iTunes its kind of obscure, but once you set the order of songs in a playlist you can select them, right-click, and pick something to the effect of 'Lock them in that order' so when they get copied to a CD or SD card they stay in that same order.

Basically you make a playlist, then copy the contents of the playlist to the SD card.

Is this to play music from the SD card slot used by the performance data recorder?

2015's have an SD slot in the center console too (along with 2014 non-Z06's).

Those of us with 2016's lost the extra SD slot.

You can't play music in the sd card slot in the glove box. That's for the PDR.

Didn't know we lost that extra slot.

Wow - 2016's lost a few interesting things:

Performance timers in the DIC
SD Slot
Reduced # of oil changes covered

Hmmm...

I'm okay losing the SD slot and just using USB... especially since the 2016 head unit is much faster responding than my 2014 was, and the front camera integration is nice.

You can use the Timers in the PDR.

Oil changes: I always do my own anyway, so no change for me.

Not to mention reduction in "power train" warranty from 100k to 60k miles.
But you got; front cameras, power hatch latch, two toned interior and exposed CF hood stinger options.

I'd trade it all for power hatch and front cameras!
