24 Hours At Daytona - 2016
WOW - What a finish! After 23 1/2 hours, the two Corvette ZO6s WIN 1-2! The 3 car's front tires were even with the 4 car's rear tires! Congrats to #4 and team! Talk about close after 24 hours! What a last :30 minutes!! The win was a photo finish and had no orders from the team management, so they let it all out and it was GREAT! These ZO6 Corvettes are fantastic!
Congratulations to Team Corvette!

Hmmm. Not a Ford Gt in sight. Imagine that after all the expended hot air about the new "super car".

Congratulations, I live in Minnesnowta, will have to wait til April to get out my '16 Z, however i will be at Sebring in March to cheer for the team. Great way to start the season. I hope that BOP doesn't rear its ugly sanctions. teddie

"Minnesnowta" - that's great! Looks like a good part of Minnesnowta's weather came by Virginia, MD, and DC... about 3 feet of it! Sure hope the BOP works out. The way it reads, it should. I wonder how long it will be before someone tries to take advantage of it and what curbs are or will be put in place to counter it. Definitely interesting, though! I do know that Team Corvette is off to a great start, like seasons past!

Great job by team Corvette.
Of course Porsche or Ferrari will whine their azzes off, and the Corvettes will get hit with a weight penalty or further intake restriction or both for future races.
Seems to happen every time the Corvettes win.

It happens to anyone who has a performance gap... you'll see the Huracan's get hit soon... and the Ford GT would have, if it had continued to turn times that it did for its short stint. It isn't just something that hit Corvettes.

Perhaps, but it sure seems like they hit the Corvettes more often than the others. Maybe that's just a reflection of the strength of the platform.

We'll probably have to wait for the next gen Viper to arrive to see them return. And I agree it'll be fun to see the new GT get sorted. I wasn't surprised with their struggles. It's pretty darned tough to just show up with something and run well and long right out of the box. I remember Team Corvette needing a bit of sorting on the new gen, and they've been at this for a long time. Team Ford will have a steep learning curve, but given their apparent determination with this effort, I bet they'll close the gap.

FordGT ran one of the fastest GTLM laps of the entire event...UNTIL Garcia was ***** to the wall in the end, he ran a low 44 just under the FordGT. Don't count out those FordGT's...they are fast for sure.
Last laps were crazy...finish separated by only .0034!!
