I can see the Callaway killing the 1/4 with some good DRs but the stock tires lol can you say "smokeshow"

Ultra exclusive white collar 2016 performance machine built by a company that races first, builds street cars second, beats a blue collar performance machine engineered in the early 2000s and built by a company whose main priority is to building bread and butter cars. Break out the red carpet and champagne, guys!

If the track record on the previous modern Mcclarens is anything, the sky high price on the new LT won't stay that way long. I remember people were saying the 12C was going to be red hot forever and just sky rocket in price. Time will tell.

There are many factors to a great ET and trap. GM and Callaway will use "general" unprepped street testing times.

ET is traction - I am a little surprised at the trap speed however. GM has stated 126 MPH for the stock car in the past.

I'm guessing this car will trap at least 133-135 MPH on average - and with great DA maybe even 137 MPH. Bolt on cars with slightly more power are going 138-139.

Agreed. I went to Mac of Houston before I bought my Z06. To me, in my opinion, McLaren has their act together. Their cars......Drool. So damn sexy in person. I do still plan on trying again around Xmas for a lease of the 570S. If not, I'm going to add the NSX to my garage.

Gotta love the Mclaren any way it comes. Brilliant cars period. But I also have to give it t o the Z06 only being half a sec off a car that has 670hp and weights near 600 lbs less than the Z and costs $300,000 more. The straight line speed is nuts for the LT though lol

Then 2 weeks later it's worth MAYBE 300k but more likely 265k
The price tag drops so fast on those if it's like the 12c.

I wasn't aware that cars posting mid 10s bone stock, was terrible straight line performance. Makes me wonder if the OP has ever been that fast in a real car. Or ever Built one from a car that started life much slower.

I'm not surprised a 400,000 car is quicker around a road course with Active Aero, than a static aero device ZO6. For 400,000 dollars it better do more than just be faster. It better come with the entire cheerleading squad of the NFL team of your choice, for two years straight and free cappuccinos for life.

I'll venture a guess that the OP has nothing worth even talking about. Maybe a Subaru, or an old 4-door Audi.

Nah, I'm getting the feeling it's more like a Bold Camry with the fart can attached.

The straight line acceleration is breath taking. Based on the sheer fact that it spins 335 section of the best tire up to 70 mph should be reason enough to give it applause. I've taken it to over 180 mph with full aero at max setting too.

It really is a car that has world class speed in any type of event. It's silly to think any less of it.

I have never had any complaints about the straight line acceleration of the car. To say that it is "bad" is simply moronic.

Yes it is fast BUT not to the fact it has 650/650!
You have Turbo S and you know that

Some people here are comparing performance to price! really? This is the first time I know that the Z06's 650hp was cheap horses

Funny that his Turbo S isn't as fast as his ZO6.
Do you know anything about RWD cars? 650 and mid 10s is pretty damn fast for a full interior street car...it's even more impressive it can do this on street tires. Mid 10s is fast for AWD standards let alone RWD.

79k is <<<<<<< than 400k. Last time I checked.

Did you graduate highschool?

The 675 LT is a beautiful car and if I could have a sub P1 car - this would be it. But for comparisons sake - I take this as a huge compliment that they are even comparing this car to a 100K car and that the car I own is one of the fastest cars in the world on a track - and can be compared to these cars in the first place.

Cheers!

In crappy weather after driving ~30 miles, the Z06 was quicker than my TT 60-130. Also, same day, same track with my friend's C7 Z06 the Z06 ran 2-3 mph faster trap speed.
On the street the AWD is an advantage over just about anything else out there, including the AWD GT-R. Stock TT/TTS will crush a stock DBA GT-R.
