Default Stock vs aFe CAI No Tune--Tune

Below is a dyno sheet from three runs. All on the same Dynojet.

1. Stock (RunFile 011)
2. aFe CAI no tune after a few hundred miles (RunFile 002)***
3. aFe CAI with a tune (RunFile 006)

***Note: The funny upswing on the afr scale at the end of the run. The tail pipe afr sensor tube disconnected.

2015 M7 Z06

The hp increase with hp aFe CAI was significant; however, the tq didn't change much. I can definitely feel the increase in power when driving.

Looks like a 40 HP gain without a tune with the AFE.

Using the high flow (blue) or the low flow filter and is your AFE the latest design i.e. the dash -1.

Thank you. Your results are right in line with what folks are seeing with the both the AFE and Halltech. And your tuned and untuned differences are almost exactly what Mike at Diablo Sport found when they tuned for an AFE. Mike did however gain some mid range tq (About 20 ft lbs if I recall) but only about 6 hp.

We appreciate your info.

I told mike before he posted he wont gain much with tune since intake leans it out. He agreed with my post also and ive seen over 20 dynoed locally. I've sold over 150 afe intakes and many customers have also dynoed and the power losses never went away in few hundred miles no one has blown engines either.

Once thing for sure a fair number to see is 30 rwhp.

Hmmmmmmm, interesting. I would of expected more, but then again, I got 70+ gain with those same mods. Your baseline was higher than mine. But, as with all dyno runs, we'll never have the same numbers. Too many variables. If I'm reading correctly and I might be wrong, with tune, you only got +2 hp from non tune run? Nice gains tho, that's for sure. Def enough to tell a huge difference.
