The number 3 Corvette finished 33 laps down after a cash with one of the Porsches but the team got it running while the Porsche dropped out. Tommy drove one hell of a race the last three hours to come back from 2 laps down to win. There was a long rain delay during the race. World class racing for sure.

Good deal. Unfortunately, Comcast doesn't carry FS2 in my area. Unable to see the race live. I was planning on going to NHRA qualifying but the storms rolling thru made it "iffy" so I spent a couple hours replacing my pool pump that crapped out midday yesterday. Grrr.
But given the choice of IMSA and NHRA. NHRA wins for me.

For an inside pass through there you have to scrub a lot of speed but can still carry a tight line. In the end, Magnussen would have probably still passed him through T5-T6 anyway.

I get that everyone has personal preferences, but how can you sit through hours of cars going down a drag strip for 4 seconds? IMSA is definitely more thrilling to watch personally.
*note: I have nothing against drag racing, it's cool and I would do it, just don't see how someone could watch others do it for hours

What an awesome win! The corvette racing team is just a cut above.
Can someone fill me in on how #4 overcame being a lap down? I missed hours 7-11 and it seemed like they were out of it after the rain. I assume they got on the lead lap then a yellow happened?? Thanks!

No idea W...T...F...that Estre in the Porsche was thinking when he hit Magnussen. He was waaay tight into T1 passing the Audi, and clearly didn't scrub enough speed before turn-in. No way he was making that turn without going way wide on exit and into the dirt. He was off-line, braked too hard and slid into Magnussen.
