Does anyone have the files for the update for a 2016 z06? Not yet available at my dealer and will probably not go there before Months...

Only dealer can update - not consumer. IIRC.

Officially yes, but like another post about PDR update available on our great forum, files are updated using a SD card. So someone might have those

Do you have to download an Android App onto your phone before you can use AA or can you just plug in your phone to a usb port in the car and go?

You need a phone that will run Android 5.0 and up. It seems your device is too old and will not be updated to 5.0 or beyond.
