well I got it done. my pipes did not line up as great as everyone on here stated. I bought the corsa x pipe as well and they did not mate up. was off by about an inch. my passenger side cat delete didn't have the nice bell flare like the drivers side, but its all on there. sounds good.

because its me, and my awesome luck. in removing the pass upstream o2 sensor, I guess either heat or something had basically welded this thing in. it came out, but not without pulling the threads from the stock downpipe with it. but not loosely. they are like cooked and welded into the threads on o2 sensor. so had to order a new sensor, which I will pickup today.

put the big daddy cel sims in the downstream sensors and all seems well. somehow didn't even throw an o2 code for the front sensor. and it drove fine, although I didn't get on it really just out of precaution.

Maybe he didn't loosen the x pipe and readjust. That happened to me when I had the long tubes installed on my Z51. It seemed off and hit the tunnel plate but when the installer loosened up the pipe completely and readjusted it, all was good.

OP, I'm really considering going with the delete pipes instead of long tubes to save me about $500. How do you like them so far, is it loud AF?

nah I had it on a lift, we had the new x pipe loose and hanging freely to move.

I know it. same thing I was telling the guy doing it with me. he kept saying nah its aftermarket, fit always gonna be off a little. but everything on here was smoothly it bolted up. ill have it back on the lift today to put the sensor in. but I really really don't want to unbolt it to show how off it was. we wedged a 2x4 between the two cat deletes to space them out far enough to bolt into the x pipe. but ill take pics to show the difference in the bell and donut gasket. I broke 2 u joints trying to get the last 2 bolts on passenger side downpipe off. nightmare. other than that everything went smoothly. I don't think its leaking, but ill double check on the lift today.

as mentioned below, in touring and eco its decently tame. but valves open is #racecarlife

Did you thread the stud bolts out the top of the manifold side of the the flange to do this?

I plan to install without lifting the motor and am trying to figure out if I need new bolts or not.

Thanks

Lifting the engine is very very easy...loosen just 4 nuts and jack the engine.....so much simplier and quicker......

And if I lift all I need to do is remove the nuts on the bottom and put them back on with the cat delete pipe?

Yep, done it several time .......just watch for the manifold gasket which usually stays stuck to the manifold.

Made 602/643 on stock tune and afr was tapering down entire pull eventually to 11.4:1 at redline. This is also using a sniffer out rear of exhaust so probably a few tenths of a point even richer. Made 2 pulls back to back no cool on and were within 3hp and tq of each other.

93+ 1/2 qt of of boostane
ice filled granatelli tank

then today i threw reduced power code. Stopped in at chevy and they flashed the new tune in no questions asked. Id be interested to see if any changes happened, may go back to dyno

Has anyone that didn't tune had problems with the car running lean? My local performance shop told me that might be an issue.

I have a grand sport

it does not run lean. Ive done numerous c7 base and gs and z06s. Deleting cats on either version of the c7s does not run lean. Yes the light comes on dash if you dont use 02 sims or tune it.

I would not sell this delete kit as no tune needed if a tune was needed.

Should have bought your pipes in hind sight. I would not have rusty pipes now! Cheaper isn't always better.
