Can't say. I gutted the secondary cats first, then later added the Norcal pipes. Very little change in sound, and no perceived power gain from the gutted secondary cats.

I have a borla x pipe and muffler delete. The primary cats are the only restriction in my exhaust as it sits now. The car is very loud with the x pipe and muffler delete, but I love it and think it sounds perfect. How much louder would it be if I did the cat delete pipes? I'm already completely straight piped from the primary cats back, do you guys think it would make a huge difference? Any louder than it is now might be a bit too loud...

yes it does. Pretty much the sound you gained deleting muffkers would be same increase as doing main cat deletes

Well it sounds loud now, but good, and not so loud that the neighbors are gonna hate me. I would say it's right on the threshold. But a lot louder and it's gonna be pretty unbearable for my neighbors and I'm sure everyone else around me. I really don't want to be obnoxious to everyone else around me. Maybe I'll go back to stock mufflers if i purchase your cat delete pipes.

Believe me, doing cat delete with stock mufflers is PLENTY loud, but with the ability to tone it down around your neighbors (or others) when you want. Plus I gained 25 SAE RWHP and 33 SAE RWTQ with the cat delete. What did you gain with muffler delete?

I doubt I gained anything from the muffler delete. I just did the cat deletes and put the factory mufflers back on and installed the mild2wild switch. I love it. Loud in open mode and very quiet in closed mode. With a 2.3 upper pulley, filter change, borla xpipe and tune I made 616 hp and 663 torque. After the cat deletes and oem mufflers back on, I got it retuned and picked up 5 hp and 10 tq.

Default credit where credit is due

Just witnessed the dyno tune on my 2016 Z06 auto at Weapon X today. My car with NORCAL CAT DELETE PIPES made 742 HP and 803 TQ with meth and 50 % E-85. This is a stock cam auto trans car with Weapon X ported stock blower & snout, Weapon X single nozzle meth kit, Weapon X low side booster pump, Weapon X E-85 flex fuel kit, 95mm ZR-1 Mamo ported TB, 18 % OD lower pulley, AFE intake, Borla mid pipe & stock mufflers, Fasterproms ram air, Fasterproms intercooler tank, Fasterproms thermal plates, Cordes Performance intercooler heat exchanger, 160 degree thermostat. Many thanks to NORCAL for these cost effective cat delete link pipes which played a part in the effectiveness of this combination of mods.
