Hello,

any suggestions for track day rotors for the Z. I currently have the stock steel rotors and looking for suggestions for track day rotors.

I typically run in the blue group with Chin.

If I am not mistaken, there is only one aftermarket rotor option and that's DBA. I don't know if anyone had tried them yet.
Too bad Essex doesn't offer the J hook like they do for Z51.

if anyone wants me to look into just rotor replacements, I would need a OEM set to measure.

I used my own car for the z07.

DBA rotors are terrible for the GT-R and wouldn't last a track day. Probably the same for the C7Z.

J hooks are great. Hopefully AP Racing will offer them soon.

Spoke to Girodisc last week. They have completed prototype rotors set for C7 Z06 steel brakes. They would sell the set at 20% discount (MSRP is $1000 front set and $800 rear set) for anyone that can confirm the fitment for them. They are positive that the tolerances are accuarte but they still want a confirmation before they proceed with production run since they don't have Z06 available at the moment for them for fitment check. You might wanna give them a call.
I am going to use my stock rotors for now since they are still new and maybe change to Girodisc when I need a new set.

DBA 2-part rotors are fantastic vs. the one-piece units which still crack. Ran DBA 5000s on my C5 Z06 ST2 racecar for years and would get nearly a season (6-8 weekends) out of front rotors running Carbotech XP12s.

AP doesn't offer Z06 rotors. Only Z51. For Z06 you would have to buy the complete AP BBK.
