Jeremy,

Thanks for doing this. If you get a chance you might ask them if they've considered coming forth with a better/stronger wheel for the Z06. There have been some wheel failures among the Z06 crowd and such is not providing a lot of "warm fuzzies" you might say about the current stock wheel.

Just a thought - and good luck and have fun.

I would like to know in light of the heating issues and limited capacity of the current Z06 supercharger, what changes if any, will be made for 2017. Calloway for example is advertised as 32% larger and having 3 intercoolers.

You can see it coming that there will be an announcement for changes on the 2017 Z06 supercharger to enhance cooling. The question is: can these upgrades be retrofitted on the 2015 and 2016 models?

That would be very cool, (pardon the pun) if it happens and can be retrofitted.

Jeremy,

Please ask them about the CAT being so close to the oil cooler and how owners had to find an aftermarket solution to counter the problem (if at least temporarily). Why wasn't there a GM fix from the get-go?

Some questions (like the one above) must be carefully worded. No employee will respond candidly to a question that sounds like an accusation about selling unsafe vehicles.

I'll throw in one vote each for...
- What are the expected improvements from the new paint shop?
- Is Chevy moving its focus for track hobbyists from the Z06 to the GS?

I'm plenty interested in a cooling question, but I can't think of how to ask one that will be answered any differently than in the past.

With the new paint shop coming online, has GM ever considered offering "Custom or Individual" paints for corvettes, much like you can get from Dodge on the viper and from Porsche and BMW? A LOT of people customize their corvettes and id imagine this is a big potential market GM isnt taking advantage of.

Signed,

A future custom paint corvette order

Tadge already answered that question here. Basically: no.

Thank you for the comment, with which I completely agree. I pride myself in asking questions in a way that is not accusatory or confrontational. I have worked hard to develop relationships with several Corvette VIPs and feel extremely fortunate to be able to sit down with them in one on one interview situations. I'm looking forward to these opportunities at the Bash.

Why has the Corvette C7 platform not implemented cooling solutions seen in the Camaro and Cadillac CTS-V platforms where heat exchangers are mounted in sidepods to the left and right of the main radiator? All three platforms use the LT4 in unaltered form, and all three are GM vehicles. At least two aftermarket companies, TIKT and LG, are almost done finalizing their implementation of such systems in the C7 Corvette so we know it is feasible. Furthemore, almost all competitor vehicles, 911, AMG GT S, and M4, used side mounted heat exchangers in the front fascia.

We have been told that GM has been testing denser or more thicker radiators in the C7 Corvette. For example, the C&R Denso core has been sent to them for testing. Can you share the results of those tests?

Please explain the implications of dropping the Corvette C7 on the stock bolts. Is the performance affected positively or negatively? What is GM's recommendation for track use?

Ask them what are their solutions to providing C7's of various configurations that don't overheat on track, like the ones at Spring Mountain for example, and if the solutions will be backwards compatible.

JJ, we all know that you will ask the questions in the most professional manner, but it is the answers that I worry about. It seems the answers are political. I need exact details. We were going to order a C7 Z06 after the 2013 BASH since we were told you could order a unit with iron rotors but with the Z07 goodies. Not true when we went to order. Then the overheating issues, so we put it on hold till GM gets these items fixed. I track our 2014 C7 Z51 M7 for an hour or more at time and it is solid as a rock. Not so with the other guys at the Club with Z06's. It has over 18K miles and I have modified the lower pans to provide more air flow through, made a oil filter heat shield, installed lower front brake airflow guides, installed Hotchkis Adjustable Stabilizers front and rear, and installed Z06/Z07 -FE7 front and rear springs. This thing handles like a dream and the front tire wear went from the crown of the tire inward almost an inch. The rest of the front and rear tires are wearing very evenly across the entire tread surface.

No pics at this point because I am still testing the DEI CAT shields. I want to make sure everything works together and is of value before pics are published. I also want to use a good camera/lens vs an iPhone.

Anyway, see you at the CF dinner at The Montana Grill.

I'd like to know if they have any plans for a more advanced version of the Cosworth toolbox. Something that allows the user better control over the data analytics. Even if it's sold as a separate piece of software I'd buy it if it would allow me to do things like choose the data channels to display and how to display them.

I'm using Aim Race Studio 2 as a benchmark for data analysis and think that if they could get close to that with the google maps and video integration they already have this could be a kick butt platform (assuming they fix the time bug).

Interesting, I just returned from Spring Mountain last week and they were asked about upgrades and they said the C7's were factory stock no changes were made? Only thing they did was go with the heavier oil.

Any plans for audio updates for the 15' model year to correct various quirky issues? Ipod issues for example that are supposed to be compatible yet end up locking up, dropping metadata when songs change, etc. Even the USB/flash drive play has quirks, as it not displaying album art. I have a 16' Colorado and do not have any of these issues with that system using the same USB and ipod I attempt to use in the Z06. Just a frustrating issue.

Ask them if there is going to be any improvement to the PCV system to get rid of oil injestion into the supercharger and intake valve coking problems. Oil separator / catch can addition?
