C7 Z06 heated seats
Now I remember reading a post on how poor the heated seats were on some member's new Z06....but that was before I took delivery on my new one. Last night my wife put her heated seat on and b*tched the whole way home about how the heated seat barely got warm....60 minutes worth! Does anyone else have this problem and is there anything the dealer can do to fix the problem? Most cars I've owned had heated seats that can fry your butt if you keep them on "high", but I have to admit, these in the Z06 don't seem to be very strong. Suggestions appreciated....and getting rid of the wife isn't worthy, that's just way too expensive an option...thanks!

approximately 30 minutes." From page 60. You may need to turn back on high after 30 min to keep it nice and toasty.

I have to agree I got my 2016 two weeks ago, and the seats take a long time to get warm compared to my 2013 Avalanche which also has the perforated cooling seats and they heat up much quicker and hotter. Someone screwed up when they designed these seats. I'm not sure who makes these corvette seats but I think it's a outside supplier. GM gives them the specs and seat design and they produce them. Apparently no one checked the quality or speed of the heating element, I'm guessing the seat manufacture went out to the lowest bidder for the heating element and no one bothered to check how well they heated the seat. How does something as simple as a heated seat that has been exposed on this forum as not working as it should continue to be installed without being corrected. GM monitors this site when they see problems like this why don't they forward it to the engineering department so they can get it changed.
Oh well somethings never change.

Work fine on my 15...Both sides. I even like the cooling in summer....

It's a planned deterrent to keep owners from driving on cold tires !

I'm wondering if the difference might be the type of seat. Mine has the GT seats, by any chance are those that find that the heat works have the competition seat?

Interesting, mine is a 2016 as well and even on high the seat feels not that much warmer than the other seat, which isn't turned on.

In my previous 2014 Z51 and my current 2016 Z06 the heaters have worked very well. Even my wife that likes it warm would end up turning them down or off due to being too hot. Both of these cars were built with Comp Seats with Microfiber inserts.

That seat has four different settings. In the highest one mine will almost burn your butt! The heater switch is not connected to the heater, it merely gives the Body Control Module an indication that the seat has been turned on. Pressing four times brings the seat heater up to the highest setting, pressing again turns it off. The BCM controls seat temperature with a pulse width modulated voltage applied to the heater. If the heater works at all, the problem is in the closed loop temp sensing read by the BCM or the software itself since there is only ONE voltage source with a PWM signal, not four different wires adding input to the heater. There is a serial data line which will tell a technician what the BCM and seat heaters are doing. Take it to the dealer and have them trouble shoot it for you.
