Default So many Z06's

So I was surfing Car Gurus looking up 2015/2016 Z06s and granted the prices are excellent considering the 2017 models will be coming out soon, how ever, whyyyyyy are there soooo many z06s for sell??? New, used, Nused, you name it... All over the country... This can't be helping current dealer inventory unless they are offering 10/15% off msrp... I'm wondering if there is a memo going out to dealers suggesting them to lower the prices? What do you guys think? Also will kill resale value or private party sell??

It looks like a lot and sounds like a lot but they are sorta rare compared to most any car with 10k or less made.
I love mine and what a bargain plus with mods the little 1.74 does the job.

Why don't you just buy one, and there will be one less for sale?

Not all are for sale, when I ordered mine the dealer had it on their web site for sale. Also with the nice weather now coming they will start moving. Dealers are discounting them by 10%

As per Corvette Action Center data....8,653 for 2015 alone, so I doubt less than 10k

Too funny😂😂
Actually I have a 2015 Z07 M7 reserved for me with only 12 miles on the odometer, people in the Charlotte area are very familiar with it I'm sure as it and it's brother sat at the dealer roped off from viewers from Jan 2015 until I think August 2015 I think. The seller and I are cool and are working on a decent price for one of vehicles since it is now listed as used, being titled and all.. Yet new enough to never have hit the streets beyond the mileage from the dealer. I'm seeing these, including Z07 anywhere from 85k+ from 2015 and the 2016 from I think 92/3 at Kerbeck. Theirs is north of what I been seeing nationwide, and it's used compared to new models from dealers and dealers offering the discounts. So I was looking for a plan B in case we couldn't come up with new negotiations that help us both out. I like M7 Z07 Pkg for looks as I wouldn't be tracking it much. Torch Red, Blue, or Black.. Comp seats.. Red Calipers, wheels based on car color

it means more than 10,000 Z06's have been made, in contrast to 3Z06ZR1's post.

Or did he mean...."per year"? Vipers were in very limited production through the late 90's and into the early 2000"s. Somewhere around 8000 per year most of those years, as I recall. To have a production run of 8500 or so Z06's per year for world wide consumption....that's in rarefied air territory. I don't know the current Corvette manufacturing numbers, but it used to be around 35,000 units per year. But, I am getting older and maybe my memory for useless information is failing me....

It said 2015/2016 (so I read it as each year)
But I guess he meant per year as stated above
Either way it's a lot of cars

If that is exactly what you want then that is a good deal. I bought a new 2007 off the lot for a marked down price. Sold it 6 months later because of options I was missing. Have ordered exactly what I want ever since.

I looked at both of those cars last November but he wanted too much for either one. I purchased a car off the showroom floor in Raleigh that had a higher MSRP for 6500 less than he was asking at the time. Has he sold the Porsches yet? He had two Porsches for sale along with the Vettes. A 911 was in storage right next to the Vettes.

Have you looked at the used car price on NADA? When I went to put track insurance on my car in April the valuation with less than 2K miles the best price was about 83K. The Z07 with 12 miles isn't worth more than a K more than that.

Bill
