Default Rear Spoiler (Wing) Issue!!

Has anyone had trouble after installing the rear spoiler (wing) with the trunk door falling down?

It appears that the weight of the wing is too much and the trunk door falls down, has anyone had this issue? if so, how was it fixed?
Are there any aftermarket struts for the trunk door that can hold more weight?

Please HELP!!!!!

Thought it was "tongue in cheek" sarcasm, but maybe not!? There is NO WAY the hatch will stay open with that weight.

FWIW...that big a$$ wing on the ACR is installed on the hatch as well. It's quite a site when the rear hatch is open, but Dodge must have put a stronger set of rear dampers on it.

Wow - at the very least you need to take the factory spoiler completely off....

Why would you keep them both ?

Struts are sold in standard lengths, but I don't know if you can get "Stronger" struts of the same length. You'd imagine... it's still going to weigh less than an Explorer tailgate.

I'd look for parts from an SUV as a place to start.

Not sure about having BOTH wings, that's a little odd to me. To each their own though!

That's why we only install wings that have frame mounts. We never mount to the decklid. The lift supports won't help you. That's not the problem. We will be carrying the TIKT wing with frame mounts this summer.

Would you put up some pics of the attachment to the car? I looked on their site but they only had the spoiler and no installation pics that I could find. I don't mind it but I would remove the OE spoiler.

Default Summing up for you!

Frame mounted wings won't blow off.

http://m.target.com/p/up-up-binder-c...pla_df&CPNG=PL

Make sure there is a backing plate in that mounting.

The Viper ACR has its TA aero.

You need more splitter too!

Where will the attachment point be located on the TIKT wing? I might be interested depending on how it's mounted.

Wing looks very cool, and I would do one as well, but it should never be trunk mounted unless the car was designed for that.
