Front Splash Guards that work

U know what busts my *****! How many of us wrote a check to the dealer for a $100,000 for this car, knowing we were going to have to Dick around with some Mickey Mouse item to prevent our paint job from getting FU?
GM should offer the solution and have it put on for free at the dealership! That's all I got!

Those are the size roughly of the Apsis splash guards which work great. While your item is certainly far less expensive, they look cheap too. Frankly, like something that does not belong on my $90,000 car but it is your $$. For my $$ I spent the big bucks and bought the Apsis splash guards for each corner and skirts. These two items are keeping my car chip free even with wheels that come out flush with the fenders.
When I go to order Apsis splash guards it ask me Stingray or Z06. If I have a GS do I order Z06?

I have yet to get dings/etc like others mentioned, but in the rear quarter panels, right above both of the rear wheel, there are lots of scratches, I think from pebble and debris? Do you guys get that too? Not deep into the paint, but light scratches/dings maybe half deep into the clearcoat

I finally installed on mine, put the extra long truck ones in the front and O'Rielly's C size in the rear. I can't see how any pebbles or debris could fly off the tires and damage any panels.

You could trim the top and move them up or trim the bottom, for rocks the lower the better.
Before I installed these I had some nicks on the edge at the rear brake cooling duct, I put black electrical tape on the edge and warped it to the inside like some of the other owners have done.

No issues on either Z06 as far as chips on the rear side vent area.
On either Z06.
I just use the GM front splash guards and ACS side skirts on 1 Z06
ACS front splash guards and 3/4 GM skirts. On the other car.
I like the look of the shorter 3/4 skirt so
I recently replaced the ACS full side skirts with them.

Can you use 3/4 inch long screws instead of 1/2 to attach the new long rock/splash guards over the stock liner? What is just behind the factory piece and how much room? Thanx for any info b4 I start his project.

there is a metal mesh behind that trim piece covered with liner. So screws that long won’t let you put the trim piece back on. It may work at the bottom end but certainly won’t in the top half where stock trim piece is thinner.

I did one car where I used metal clips on the back side of the plastic liner and screwed through the liner into the clips. Worked fine. Or you would try to screw through the plastic liner into the existing wheel well liner holes. On my current car I removed the plastic liner because I needed the extra space anyway for track slicks. I used the existing screws that hold the wheel well liner and didn't get longer screws. Worked fine.

Has anyone noticed yet that the new ZR1 has wide body style front quarter panels that completely surrounds the tires now as compared with the Z06 or GS? No more spats. I am wondering, do you think GM finally realized they had it wrong all these years and finally decided to get it right with the ZR1? I am assuming that this new panel design corrects the problem with road debris being kicked up and back peppering the rear of the vehicle. Anybody have thoughts about these panels being included on the 2020 model year?
