2017 pricing means no A10 for 2017 Z?
Just posted by MacMulkin, pricing for 2017s:
http://macmulkincorvette.com/2016/05...ions-packages/
Option R8E Gas Guzzler Tax (Z06 LT4 w/ M5U – Auto Trans)
M5U is 8-Speed Paddle Shift Automatic with Remote Start
This means no A10 for the 2017Z?

Just because a Camaro has it doesn't mean they have it configured for a Corvette yet.

The A10 is slighter larger so who knows if it can fit in the C7. We shall see. I think you will have to wait till 2018 if it does

The $50 price increase, at least that is what was posted, ain't goin' get you an A10, or anything else except for the cheesy 3/4 side shirts, which is now standard...
I think those holding off on the '17s expecting more hp, tq, new SC, different body panels, improved cooling, and yes... an A10, will be disappointed.
If anything, I'd say the Z06 "might" get a different track pack option, maybe under Z07 moniker or some other branding, which will include a secondary radiator or heat exchanger and "maybe" new wheels and a few other minor tweaks, but that's it IMO.
It's still fun to speculate though

I'm assuming these are all the options... That the order guide for Z06 won't include any other additional options? Who knows, right?

Historically when Corvettes get HP bumps or automatic transmission changes the MSRP increase has been nominal. See 2001 Z06 LS6 385 hp to 2002 Z06 LS6 405 hp. Or 2007 C6 LS2 400 hp to 2008 C6 LS3 430 hp. Or 2005 C6 A4 vs. 2006 C6 A6. The fact that MSRP is not going up by much is inconclusive to any possible changes to transmission or HP.
IF these are all the options for 2017 (which it appears to be as it includes Z06), it confirms that any changes will be "behind the scenes."
A better thread title would have been:
2017 Options List Confirms no A10 for 2017 Z

The Camaro is too heavy. Just sold my 2013 ZL1 for a 2016 Z06. What a difference the weight makes. I know the 2017 ZL1 is around 200 lbs lighter, but still is way too heavy. You feel the weight difference.

This ^^
I'll add to that by saying the a10 will not happen with this wheelbase and rear bulkhead configuration. There is just no room for it, an GM would never do what we do to make the 4L80 fit in the c5 and c6.....cutting rear bulkhead, shortening the torq tube, etc.

I don't mind it, you gain a back seat and the car is more practical. The Z06 isn't really that much lighter than the new ZL1. Figure the ZL1 is around 3800 pounds and the Z06 is slightly over 3500. Not too big of a difference. Plus i really want that new A10. People say it shifts too much but it does shift much quicker than the A8 i have in my stingray.

I think the weight difference for the coupe variant will be 400 lbs. The convertible variant will be closer to 600 lbs different. The gen 5 was 200lbs heavier. That and the back seat was almost useless are the reasons I sold my ZL1 and went to the Z06. I understand to each his own though. Both are nice cars.
