Great idea. We have been working on this with our plastic shop.

If you have a spare, we can use it as a template for racer guys.

There should be some photos of this posted soon. We both liked the idea of being able to easily remove the end piece when tracking the car. This can be done without removing the wheel. One simply needs to jack up the car and the wheel turned to the right, thereby exposing the end plate so one can easily pop out the pins.
Try it with the TC off in 1st, carefully. Not in second, since going off the road at 88 mph is bad.

Use HP Tuners to see the increase in boost.

Alright makes sense. Hopefully it actually will make a difference. Let me know if you are able to get on it and notice anything! Thanks partner!

Jim, will we only see a noticeable difference with the TC off? I rarely turn mine off just for safety reasons...

Same here, but if TC comes on your torque and hp are attenuated.

Ram air works at speed, and usually you will have additional boost 80+ mph. You will be able to tell a big difference.

The IATs will be ambient most of the time with the system, which allows retention of timing.

Not unless you have the Z06 grill and ductwork.

Default Dyno

We should have some dyno numbers shortly from Vengeance Racing.

Hoping that they have a 130 mph fan to direct at the duct inlet.

I estimate much bigger numbers than our Stinger-RZ without the TRIC.

Someone please take this thing to Atco or Cecil this fall and run a 9 with no other mods so I can finally pull the trigger.

Best,
Gene

Someone also please post AFR readings with both Halltech mods in cool weather. I hope it's not going to get 'too much' air when the cool, dense air returns.

Precisely my concern as I run the car when it's below zero.

Default Fan type?

Use one of these to duplicate 155 mph and you should see +2.7 PSI boost
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...1850_200641850

Seems silly, but to really duplicate the boost we saw at 88 mph and 124 mph, the dyno would necessarily need more than a giant cooling fan designed only to cool the radiator.

Not too hard to add a removable end plate. I used carbon fiber with a couple of screws. I put some goop on it to seal and help hold it (not needed really).

I am wondering if anyone has noticed a difference in feel or actual performance since installing their unit.

Maybe its just me but I cannot detect a difference (in feel) over the CAI alone. Any feedback?

Ram air needs speed to be effective.

I do not feel or notice a difference on the highway. With this said I am only reporting my seat of the pants feel and have not quantified any before and after performance.

Has anyone noticed a detectable difference highway speeds?
