Default Weld Racing Wheel Fitment Questions

I get a lot of questions about what weld wheels will fit on the C7Z's and I guess that depends on a few factors....

1) If you have the Carbon Brakes, you will have to go to the New MonoBlock Wheel. This wheel only comes in 18,19, and 20. Anything smaller will require removal of the Carbon brakes

2) If you don't have the Carbon Brakes, I can fit 18x8's on the front, or 17x4.5 skinnies with a spacer. You can do the 18x8's in any of the RTS styles and clear the stock Z06 Brakes.

3) Regardless of brake package, If you want 15" or 17" you will have to do a conversion kit
3a) 17" conversion consists of LG drag spindles and CarlyleRacing Brake kit. Kit will keep factory parking brake and will allow you to still run the stock wheels when you are not racing. Kit price is $2399 and with this kit you can run our new 17" Beadlock wheels or standard 17" RTS wheels.

3b) 15" consists of the 17" kit and LG lower control arms. This kit sells for $4399 and will allow you to keep the parking brake, and still run the factory wheels when not racing (if desired). This kit will allow you to run a 15x10 rear wheel and you can buy this with or without Beadlocks. The CarlyleRacing Brake kit will fit any of the Weld RT or RTS wheels.

i do have the carbon brakes. i wanted to use the new welds for skinnies, but they did not have a fitment a couple of months ago. I ended up going with 18x6 from CCW (same company) which are fine except heavier.

What model Weld will fit the fronts on c7z06 with the CCB's?

What about an 18" rear wheel with standard Z06 (non-carbon) brakes front and rear? Can you clear a standard Weld RTS rear wheel or do you still require the use of the Mono Block?

I can get the alumastar, the V series or the Full throttles on the front with a 1 and 1/8" spacer and longer studs.

You can fit an 18x9.5 but that is it... the knuckle on the spindle is the issue for anything wider.

1 to 1 1/2" spacer is probably too much. The CCW 18" came with a thin, maybe .125" spacer but it is more to present a flat surface to the wheel than for brake clearance. As it is, the wheel and skinnees stick out a bit further than stock.

I still like the looks and the weight of the Welds, but I only use them for the drags anyway, so the CCW's will have to do.

What kind of fitment options does this wheel have for a C6 ZR1? (retaining CCBs) I run a 15in beadlock on the rear and would like some matching fronts. The 18x5.5 with a spacer was not fun lol

We have a 2017 ZO6 w/o ceramic brakes.
We also have the front spacers from a CF vendor. What size wheel/tire (Weld/RC) can we purchase for the rears without any conversions? Plug and play.
Thanks!

You can do this tire on the front in a 20" wheel... the wheel would be 20x8.5

The only thing that will fit on your car without any conversion at all is a 20" wheel...

you can do spindles and get to a 17x11 if you would like. I have tentatively fit a 18x9.5 on a C7 without changing anything, but IMO that width is just really too narrow.

If you want to call in I can go over all your options as we have fit a lot of wheels on these cars.

Esh that 20 would look a little weird on the front. A full size 18 or 19 won't clear? I figured at least the 19s would.

This chart shows 18x10's and 18x11's for C7z but says with conversion kit...is there an 18 inch conversion kit is does the 17inch kit work for this?

He would have had to swap out the rear CCB for the kit to fit that rear wheel size.

Anyone know a vendor that can get me some weld skinny’s for the front cc breaks? Even with a spacer?
