Made the jump from a Shelby to Z06
As the title states I recently made the jump from a 2013 GT500 to a 2016 Z06 with the stage three aero and the Z07 Package. Hopefully my vehicle description is stated properly as not to ignite any rebuttals, LOL.(vague reference to the fiery “calling your car a Z07” thread) Been lurking for a while to get a feel for the forum manners.
So far I am very impressed with the car and can say without hesitation that the Z06 is in a whole different class than my GT500. While the Shelby had close to 750 wrhp, and can be accurately described as a total animal, the Z06 is so much more refined and pleasurable to drive. Really looking forward to the Spring Mountain experience in October!!
I’m very pleased to see that the willingness to help and contribute to a topic is as present here as the mustang community. Wanted to take a minute of your time to introduce myself and give a shout out to SNORMAN, whom I recognize as another defector from the SVT forums. He also sold me a new set of Alcoa 50th Anniversary Shelby wheels that to this very day his conduct on that sale has been the template for how I now conduct any ant all sales I make. Just a stand up, respectful guy, but I’m sure you all already knew that.

Congrats! I also have the Z07 option, but only run stage 2 aero, leaving the "spats" in their original bag as delivered from GM.
My only experience with a Shelby 500 is when one ran me down in my neighborhood wanting to race. We went to a limited travel 4 lane road nearby. He had DR's , but still wanted to race from a slow speed roll for some reason. It was pretty even from 30 to 60 until i pulled away. I backed off at 85 about 1 1/2 cars ahead. Mine is an A8.

Congrats! Take some time to settle in, get to know the car, and dial in your driving setup preferences. You become one with it, and enjoy the miles while doing so.

Two years ago when the first pics of the Shark Gray Z06 were being shown, I did not think the black wheels would look very good. The silver wheels looked better/classy.
Well, I stand corrected............VERY NICE LOOK INDEED!
Excellent selection and WELCOME.

Congrats on the new Z, you will love it for sure! I too had a Shelby, 2014 that was a handful but fun....miss the car but the wife said only one toy car Big difference with the cars is other people, never had more coments about a car than I do with the Z06.

I did the same... jumping from a GT500 to a Z06. I have no regrets, but certainly enjoyed the GT500s (had 2 of them). Great cars, with a lot of power... traction being it's Achilles' heel. Wonder how they'd performed w/the Z's 335s...
Was seriously considering a GT350R, but wasn't willing to pay an ADM. Looking forward to the future GT500, and would definitely consider jumping back...
Great pics! Nice car! Congrats!

Welcome and congrats! Beautiful car.
Did you trade the GT500 in? I'm also a member on SVT as well. I love all cars and not a brand loyalist. If it's fast, loud and looks killer, I'm all over it. lol
Enjoy!
