Default Carbon Fiber Hood Insert stained

Anyone notice an oil like stain on the exposed carbon fiber? It is only visible if you look at it with the right angle against a light or as the sun is setting. There is about a square foot area that looks like oil floating on top of water. Is this a known problem from the factory or caused by the heat of the engine? anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions to fix it?

Could well be specific to your car. I had a table that had a (presumably forklift) tire track in the woodgrain, so you never know what happens to the materials before they're assembled into the final product.

Is it something you can capture in a photo? That'll make it a lot easier to resolve too.

No problem with mine yet (after 6 months) and mine is my everyday driver. I open my hood almost every time I get home to let the heat out of the engine compartment.
