If being single or having an unhappy wife works for you, roll with it. I still have my first car (40 years) and first wife (20 years) because I treat them both right. Works for me, and no one has ever called me weak.

I've been shopping for my 2017 (2018?) Z06 coupe and I brought my wife along a few weeks ago for some dealership window shopping. Arctic White is one of the exterior colors I'm strongly considering and I love the match up with the 3LZ trim Adrenaline Red and suede hoodliner, etc. I'm also considering the Spice Red package interior as well as Jet Black with Red Stitching.

When my wife saw the Adrenaline Red, her first response was a smile and remark that it was "hooker red". However, being the great lady she is (and one of the reasons I married her 22 years ago) she then told me to "get what I want" because I'm the one who drives it, cleans it, and attends Corvette-related events, club meetings, road trips, and track events.

No matter how many different color combinations I've seen in the C7 and C7Z I'm always drawn back to the Arctic White/Adrenaline Red combo for it's classic good looks and how the combination really pops. Especially in the bright sunshine.

Big difference between treating someone right and being the happy wife, happy life guy.

Makes ya wanna puke doesn't it. I can't imagine how much of a puss a guy would have to be allowing his fiancée to determine what car he is going to get. There are many men or guys who think they are men who really need to grow a pair.

You better be bringing home some major coin and the wife not working at all before you have the independence to spend $100,000 on a car in a marriage in a community property state without consulting your soon-to-be-spouse.

Are you an anesthesiologist rock star or what?

Mine's got the red interior and I assume I talked it over with my wife. Not for permission but because it's $100K. If that makes you want to call me a "puss", well, that's only because you're hiding behind the internet.

Lots of telephone tough guys out there bossing the little ladies around online, but I bet "when they get home at night their fat and psychopathic wives thrash them within inches of their lives".

Spare me Dude.

I am in medicine and make more than the majority of anesthesia docs out there if it actually matters to you. My fiancée has a fine career also. We have a great deal of respect for each other and hence neither attempts to control the other. This is a far healthier basis for a long term relationship than the poor sap who needs the permission of the "little woman" to go out with his friends or choose a red interior in the Corvette that he will be paying for. Respect in a relationship will always trump control.

Nice! I like the Z06 logo center armrest! A nice subtle mod to help personalize the car. I wish they could figure out a way to do the two-tone with the comp seats.

As to the "manhood" exchange going on. C'mon guys, has it come to this? If the OP doesn't feel comfortable making a move without his soon-to-be wife's approval, that's his issue. Perhaps she's going to be in the car a lot and hates the red. It's not for everyone.

Ok now you're making sense, but you were just posturing before, calling people "puss" for involving their spouse in decisions.

When I bought my red interior, the conversation was essentially "I've had a lot of all-black interiors before, what do you think of this red?". If she preferred black, I'd still have gotten red. If she was vehemently opposed to red, I likely wouldn't have, though I can't think of an example of that ever actually happening in real life.

What's wrong with that? Still not man enough for ya?

Black and red screams performance. All black is very classy, but I think the red says "high performance".

It doesn't appear that anyone here needs to question your manhood as you have just done that yourself.

I did not question your manhood, you did. Read your post. Hope it takes more than an internet thread to ruin your weekend. LOL!
