Sorry but that's NOT the North/South track... the GPS track layout shown in the upper left corner of your picture is of the "East" track which is a 2.1 mile course and definitely not the same...

The track commonly referred to as "North/South" is officially known as the "Villeneuve course"...

Default Hallett, October 17, 2017

Bullet Tooth -- 1:20:51 -- C7/Z06/A8/Cup2s

-Track: Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (1,8 miles)
-Layout: Standard, Counter-clockwise
-Transmission Type: A8
-Driving Mode/Settings: Track/Sport 1
-Aero Package/Option Package/Setup: Stage 3, DSC Alignment
-Tires: Cup 2 on knock-off Cup Wheels
-Conditions/Temp: Low 70's
-Overheat warning/failure if any: No overheats
-Best Time of the day/Session achieved: 1:20:51
-Modifications, if any: Corsa x-pipe; DSC suspension controller, SRF fluid
-Notes (issues experienced, failures, overheat, passenger, anything pertinent that you feel affected your time, etc): Car is stock except for x-pipe and DSC controller; Cup2's came apart in the afternoon; this will be my last session on the track EVER on stock pads, as I had a terrifying moment in the afternoon with a really hard pedal and had a slight off at turn 10; disregard the 19.09 at the beginning of the video (I had a 2 second PDR anomaly).

Default Hallett CLOCKWISE 1:20.74 - New Personal Best 10-18-17

- rikhek -- 1:20.74 -- 2017 C7Z
- Hallett Motor Racing
- Clockwise/CW (i.e., Backwards)
- Transmission: M7
- Driving Mode - Sport 1
- Aero Package: Stage 3 except Stage 2 splitter winglets
- Tires: Pirelli slicks
- Conditions/Temp: Sunny and mid 70's
- Best time: 1:20.74
- Modifications: DSC Sport V2 shock controller, DSC Sport TracTive RT Shocks, DSC Agressive Street/Track alignment; ST-43 pads; Katech PTB; Halltech CAI
Notes: Video shows last four laps of a 12 lap session:

Lap 9: 1:20.76
Lap 10: 1:20.96
Lap 11: 1:21.32 (traffic)
Lap 12: 1:20.74
.

Sad part is if you watch the throttle on the last/best lap of 1:20.74 I didn’t realize I was on a flyer and LIFTED before the FINISH line when I saw the checker thrown!!! Would have been even quicker if I had stayed in it until I crossed the finish line….

Rick, now that's some consistency! Having so much run off without walls around would be so much nicer. WG's great blue walls are so intimidating. Curious what's the purpose of the stage to winglets?

ELCid79 and I have had a discussion about my taking over the thread. It appears it will require starting again, with a new thread and allowing this one to fade into the archive.

I will update and return this thread to original functionality. Look for those changes shortly.

You just need to block out the Armco and hit your marks. Easier said than done....

The Stage 2 and 3 winglets provide increased front aero downforce. The Stage 3 "capture" more are which is directed to the splitter. I don't run them as I typically run low speed tracks and they won't benefit me. If a track like COTA or RA was my home track I'd have them.

Default Hallett CCW 1:19.10 - New Personal Best 10-27-17

- rikhek -- 1:19.10 -- 2017 C7Z

- Hallett Motor Racing

- Direction CCW

- Transmission: M7

- Driving Mode - Sport 1

- Aero Package: Stage 3 except Stage 2 splitter winglets

- Tires: Pirelli DH slicks

- Conditions/Temp: Cold and windy. Temp was 45 degrees.

- Best time: 1:19.10

- Modifications: DSC Sport V2 shock controller, DSC Sport TracTive RT Shocks, DSC Agressive Street/Track alignment; ST-43 pads; Katech PTB; Halltech CAI.

Notes: Previous CCW best was a 1:21.36 back in May on a great 75 degree day. As such, picking up 2.26 seconds is significant especially on a small 1.8 mile track. In May I was running NT-01's and did not have the DSC Sport TracTive RT shocks. However, the weather differential offset to a degree these differences.

Car was fast but track slow due to 45 degree temp and wind. On a good track (i.e., 70 - 80 degrees) the car would run consistent, low 1:18.xx's with I believe 1:17.xx not to difficult. Crazy that it pulled 1.69 G on a cold track.

Rick, We can go faster after looking at the video I want to send you two rear shocks looks like too much high speed rebound in the rear not enough high speed compression it will go faster over the bumps your having to wait. It is probably worth more than an honest sec without driving any different. I just built a set of rears today ive been on the dyno now for 5 hours. Im leaving sunday for SEMA so ill get with you next week.
Great job killer lap imagine on the bump area picking up the throttle .2 sec earlier on to three corners it will pay off huge into the next corner could be worth 2-4 mph on those adjoining straights
good piece of driving

Need to get the mods to close this thread. ELCiD79 finally emailed over the code for the pages. I will work to reconstruct the thread to it's original state, and add a bunch to this effort. Looking forward to the changes and I think you all will like what's coming!

Keep tracking these beasts!

Go ahead and post for the moment. I'm working on the new thread outside of the forum for the moment, then need to get with a mod to fix all this.

Will update soon. For now, just keep posting your stuff. Probably a couple days we'll have all this sorted. This is so behind and neglected at this point, I need to do a lot unfortunately, to get it back.
