Some crazy good deals out there right now on ZO6's
Just got mine 19k off MSRP at Mac Mulkin. Previously owned a C6 ZO6 of which I got crazy with and highly modified it to produce 1100 RWHP.
This one I will leave alone with the exception of some carbon fiber cosmetics. (front splitter, side skirts, spoiler) Those items should complement my carbon fiber roof panel nicely.
Happy to join the C7 ZO6 club!

Damn, just listen to yourself, leave it stock? I don't think so, just the fact that I got your text about your new ride tells me otherwise
As soon as I'm done with mine we can start yours, my shop is your shop
See you on the Cajun Autobahn buddy

It's a good time to buy.
When you overproduce a specialty vehicle and the demand dwindles this is what you have to do to move vehicles. There are still over 7200 2016 Corvettes for sale on Autotrader and there are many on dealers lots that aren't on Autotrader.
GM overproduced more Corvettes in 2016 which doesn't make sense since the C7 is 3 years old and the majority of C7 buyers already bought theirs. They say it's not GM that's overproducing it's the dealers placing the orders. The dealers do it to keep their allotments and because they know GM will give big discounts when inventory doesn't move. The problem with this mentality is eventually the Corvette buyer will get smart and wait till they give big discounts since this puts so much down pressure on the used 2016 prices. 2017 should be a interesting year for Corvette sales, time will tell how many they will produce after the 2016 low sales.

awwww you are the one that beat me to it. I called in to put a deposit on that one and Mark told me a deposit was already on the way. So I grabbed up the other one before it was gone. Congrats my friend!

Even with the 19K discount the dealer is still making a profit. Does anybody else find that obscene ? It just goes to show that when the dealer adds "market value adjustment" on a new car they are really sticking it to you.

A dealer is in business to make money. I expect them to make some profit. Not all of that that whopping discount came from the dealer direct, most came from GM in the form of a rebate on select cars (auto ZO6's)
