The Best Mod EVER !!!!!
I know this song has been sung before, but I have to sing it again. I just got done installing my MGW shifter, took it for a spin, and all I can say is WOW, what a difference. It feels like a totally different car. MGW has not only hit a home run, they hit a grand slam. Anybody on the fence, DO IT, you will not believe the difference.

So did I. But everyone that installed the MGW raved about it. I changed the shifter in my C5, and C6, and was happy with the stock C7. But I remembered the difference it made in my prior corvettes. So I took the 360. dollar gamble, and it is absolutely the best shifter I have ever had. It has a little shorter throw, but feels 1000 percent more precise, accurate. Don't know how to explain it, but again, it feels like a whole different car.

Just got done installing the RPM rollbar in my car.....sitting on the garage floor is the MGW shifter.....that is the plan for tomorrow and Thursday...install the MGW shifter.
I didn't think my stock shifter was all that bad, but anything that might improve the shift particularly a power shift that keeps me out of 2-1, 3-2 or 4-3 will be worth it!

Can u share a product link? Looks like there's a couple options. Did you install yourself or pay to have it done? If you paid how much did you pay? If you installed yourself how long did it take? Can you share pix. I have been on the fence and your review probably pushed me over the edge

Took me about two days, but after work each day, took my time to make sure I didn't scratch or break anything. I would guess if I went start to finish, it would have taken about 2 hours taking my time. You will love it, I am floored by the difference.
Yes to both. There is an option for a flat shifter and other type ***** like, the old style hurst shifter, black ball type, white ball type, etc.

My number one concern is shift effort. I don't want to have to muscle gear shifts. Is it simply more precise or does it take more force?

I thought my stock was good, and it was.
The Mgw is better in that it has NO slop to it.
It does not require more force for 1 thru 6 gears but 7th does require more umpf on mine. Does not bother me as it's just A hiway gear really.
As a tip my install took abt 2 hours total but I did not fully tighten, like crush, the bolt that clamps onto the shift cable through a machined saddle. Had to take it back apart and really kill that bolt but I was much faster the second time.

Agree. I had trouble finding gears sometime (never had it in any other car) and now with the MGW, it's like a surgical device...does where I need it to. MGW should go demo to GM to manufacture as standard for the upper-level beasts. Z06/7! They need it!

The new shifter seemed to have solved the problem.
