Convertible Weight - It's light!
I was curious how much heavier the convertible is than the coupe, and the answer turns out to be "not much at all":
The 2015 Z06's coupe curb weight is 3,524 lbs and the convertible version 3,582 lbs.
So that's only 50-some pounds. Nicely done!

That is pretty crazy but all of these are designed a vert first so I'm guessing the weight savings was focused on there and then they found little to lighten it for the coupe. Just had Tony's yellow C7 leave here yesterday with our 720whp package and I really do LOVE the convertibles!

they don't need to add 200 pounds of stiffeners on vette convertibles like they used to have to do with Mustangs, Camaros, and LeBarons. But the convertibles don't have the huge rear glass or hatch, yet still gain 50 pounds.....I was surprised to even see that much gain.....
