New blower lid and European pedestrians
I've read a number of times that the Corvette just cleared the amount needed between the engine and the hood, which is a requirement for European pedestrian safety standards.
With the new intercooler lid the "engine" is taller, so how does it still clear and meet that requirement?
Or are they just not going to ship Zs to Europe?

Hood clearance
It will clear, but needs a new hood liner with a cutout for the new lid. Also, for what it is worth, the rep I spoke to at the GM tent said an optional upgrade was coming(perhaps through accessory parts division) for the A8 cars. Namely, an additional radiator cooler similar to what the manual cars have now. He even gave me a code -- VO5. We'll see. He wouldn't speculate 'much' about where it would go, but did wave his arm down between the front of the engine underneath the shroud.
