Tadge speaking to us at Carlisle-IC changes and help for existing Z06 owners!

This type of focus on the customer and the interaction with the owner community is why I have bought 2 C7 Vettes back to back. I was so impressed by Tadge's previous 'Ask Tadge' responses I figured that the car had to be superbly engineered, and I was not mistaken. I can think of no other ownership experience I have enjoyed more. No wonder these things are setting sales records - they have come incredibly close to complete customer satisfaction with the best engineered car I have ever owned. Special kudos to GM for letting the Corvette management team work like this, it is truly rare when a risk-averse corporation provides as much leeway as Tadge has been given to interact with the community; we should be thankful for whomever is running interference for the Corvette program's customer outreach.
Thank you Tadge!

Good Story Brewing...???
Here is my personal example of GM and local Dealer stepping up to keep me a happy customer... and how this forum is monitored by the good folks at GM. I had a 2008 C6 with a transparent roof. Over some time, it started to get spider cracks in the roof. There was a thread about it in this C6 Forum and some GM service reps were on the forum monitoring this issue. Well, those of us that had the issue were able to correspond with the GM service team and we agreed to get a new transparent roof at the dealer for $400. Yes, it was not free but considering they go for $1200 plus and I had it for several years on my car, I thought that was a very fair solution. I am sure others here over the years have had similar success stories.. and some not so successful.
Maybe I am jaded by this past success story, but I feel very confident ALL those Z owners will be able to get the new parts at some cost and not have to prove overheating issues. How would you prove it anyway? You have to track your car and save it on a PDR? I tracked my Z06 at VIR in 75 degrees and by no means am I near a track star, but I ran her pretty hard for two runs of 20 mins a piece and had no limp mode etc. Now, does that mean it won't happen in the future? Maybe I'm being too hopeful.
GM and dealers please have our backs on this and prove you stand behind your outstanding product!! No machine is perfect!!! We just want to be treated fairly. I know you are watching!!!
Cheers and have a great week ahead,

I'll have to watch the video and listen again. I'm pretty sure he told us that they are also working on an additional cowl or cowl attachment etc for the hardcore racer (believe it was towards the end iirc?). I assumed that piece or kit whatever they're developing is going to be gm performance or corvette racing accessories. Just didn't take it as in addition to new lid etc as a standard piece for 2017.
Was also glad to hear that it's just a new hoodliner not a new hood. That's cool (watch, lid so close it starts to screw with the paint lol).

So cool,
I have to say though the guy on the left seriously needs some manners - if tadge is talking, listen to what the man has to say , the guy repeatly says "I got it, I got it ,I got it" , he came across as a total weinershniztel.
anywho, thank you Tadge for your continuous development on one of the worlds greatest platform. You are much appreciated!

As of April 22nd, Chevrolet has produced 37,048 Corvettes for 2016 and the final count when production ends in June will be somewhere between 38,000-40,000 according to Harlan. That will eclipse the 37,288 that Chevrolet sold in model year 2014 and it may end up being one of the highest production model years in the modern history of the Corvette.
The breakdown in production numbers between the Corvette Stingray and Z06 is 65% (24,007) Stingrays produced vs 35% (13041) Z06s and the breakdown among body styles is 80% coupes and 20% convertibles. For Stingray buyers, 81% are opting for the 8-speed automatic transmission while 71% of Z06 buyers are checking that box.
Final numbers are 40,689 total. Stingray 26,414 for 65%. ZO6 14,275 for 35%

Alternate reality? Sounds like more sour grapes from the want-to-be crowd that visits here periodically . We know the C7 and C7 Z06 are the best Corvette's yet!

And/Or!?
It is all conjecture at this point but the way I interpreted it is we will pay for all labor and the parts will be given to us at a discount in return for the old parts. Please keep in mind that a GM discount is not a cheap thing lol, anybody that has bought a part at your local dealership and then bought a part from a dealer on our forum knows what I am talk about.
And how'bout they flash your PCM at your dealer for a track day on race fuel only temporarily.
Cost Effective!

Well I hit limp mode many times last season so if they do store that its in there for sure. The only way you will see them go that route is if they are going to do the whole thing for free, which is just not going to happen unless Obama-care stands for corvette-care . I watched it again and it sounds like its going to be what I had said earlier with you bringing them your old parts and then they give you the new (from what he, said fully assembled). Only time will tell, they need to start building 2017 first though, lol, then a few months after that I'm sure we will here what the deal will be

I guess if the solution is: supercharger lid and secondary cooler sold to me at GM cost + I pay the install, then I might be happy with that. That's better than just leaving 15 and 16 owners out in the cold on their own. You're never going to get a perfect solution, but this sounds better than no solution. All I really want is help in making the car capable of running on the track in hot weather for more than a couple of laps without going into limp mode. (very embarrassing BTW)
P.S. A calibration for high octane at the track would be bitchin too!

So one really needs a whole new supercharger manifold just to angle the bricks? It would be nice if a couple of shims in the back of the bricks along with the new lid was all that's needed.

I think we should all nominate Tony for some kind of forum award. He went above and beyond the call of duty for us in the Z06 fraternity.
