Looks like its the same part?
I heard from a gear hear buddy of mine that the cooler thermostat will make a big difference on a hotter day when your a the dragstrip (or obviously road racing) bc the computer and nannies are so sensitive if the engine gets to warm it will really aggressively pull timing.
Is this the reason you swapping out thermostats b/c of racing in FLA heat?
With the dry sump oiling system will this take much longer for all the fluids to warm up after a cold start up?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good idea I would like to do the same, does anyone know for certain if this will make our cars oil temps. warm up much slower with cold starts with the dry sump oiling system?

that thermostat must be used with the custom LMR stat housing. the stock stats are not the same or interchangable gen 4 to 5

i do not sell the stuff, but i have used them before.
the thermostat doesn't open until the rated temperature (unless something went wrong with it)
since the lowest available is 160 i suspect it has as little impact on warm up as it does with coolant temp.

It is a $30 risk. my second one seems to be constructed better and still working, compared to the first batch.

This one is brand new to me, good for Mishimoto. it is constructed same as OEM so the seal failure not possible. It may be an attractive solution if the 'summit' style continues to fail, though twice the cost at $60 still well well under the billet conversion from LMR at $330

Mishimoto 160 F Thermostat, MMTS-VET-14, works just fine. You have to disassemble the spring assembly and install the new element. It fits inside the original housing....no leaks...it is o-ring sealed.

What are your cruising temps at 65MPH with the mishimoto thermostat? I have the Late Model Racecraft housing and a 174* lingenfelter thermostat and the temp is 177* when cruising at 65MPH at 80* ambient. I do have a Dewitt radiator and GMPP aux radiator. My 160* thermostat went bad after 2 months.

What in the minimum temperature for the computer to go to close loop? If the engine temp is below the minimum temp you will not get proper performance and I don't know what that temp is on the LT4.

Melting Slicks
There is no minimum ECT for Closed Loop in the LT4.
Here's a snip from my 2016 C7Z OEM file:
There is a delay (secs). You can also see the temp for LTFT's.

I had to remove the Mishimoto 160 F Thermostat, MMTS-VET-14 because weird things started happening once the outside temperature cooled below 75F.
On cold start up after about 10 miles of driving with the water temperature running 160-165F the AC quit and engine temp indication went to 100 F. When I would shut the engine off to try to reset things the radiator fan kept running. Had to disconnected battery to stop fan. Reconnected battery cable and everything went back to normal except outside temp indication. Outside temp reset after one cycle of ignition.
Also I noticed when the water temperature was below 175F the tach red line was not all the way to the highest possible.
Bottom line is I put the original thermostat back in and all returned to normal.
